Ian Fitzsimmons on Tyler Booker

Why the shot at Guyton?

Good story about Booker's leadership.
MM called out Guyton's work ethic last season. Also, if you recall, Slater's predraft comments mention O-line was possible for the 12th pick in part for leadership. So I kinda agree with OP regarding Guyton.
But I do think he'll (Guyton) be fine.........just wasn't ready to be the total NFL professional

It’s about two minutes long, starting at the 10 minute mark.

The more I hear about the kid the more I think they drafted a future team captain and leader for the Oline. I think part of this pick was to have a positive impact on the rest of the lineman, especially Guyton.
I remember around this time last year right after the draft on his radio show, he questioned the Guyton pick for a lot of the reasons which later played out during the season. He seems to have a lot of good sources in the SEC. Glad that he is speaking positively on the Booker pick.

Booker will be a staple for the line, His character alone beats out his negative athletic score that people bring up..... Being athletic is great but if you don't have the mental part down then its all for nothing.

Fitzsimmons said draft night 2024 he didnt like the Guyton pick. Basically everything Fitzsimmons said about him played out. Poor work ethic and failure to take responsibility I brlieve were his exact words.

Fitzsimmons is very well connected throughout college football but particularly in the south. Knows many coaches in college and HS ranks. I believe his brother is or was the Arizona Cardinals special teams coach.

Saahdiq Charles and Hakeem Adeniji were the cheap vet yard sale to cover interior line gross experience. Last year's talent and Booker solves the need and rebuilds in the present. The center of the Dallas is strong now and put back together.

The team has been building up at tackle for the past two seasons. Still needs camp type work under the current staff.
