I'd lay this on Garrett.

We have a proven running back who can wear down a defense - a RB who ran for 140 yards the week before. We have a burner as a change of pace back who explodes when he gets his chance.

And Garrett starts the game from the shotgun. He calls 49 pass plays and 10 rushing plays. ***? Where was Barber? Jones?

The defense did what it has done the first 3 games; plays loose between the 20's and tightens up in the redzone, and gets a few sacks in the game. The teams success is predicated on the offense scoring a lot and holding the ball.

Romo has a bad day, with errant throws and they keep trying to force it to Owens instead of running Barber.

This game was lost on the play calling.

The sky isn't falling, but Garrett had better his head on right and stop trying to force things, when they don't work.

Right, did you not see how bad our defense played, and couldn't make any stops. And when they did, they had 12 men on the field.

Newman gave up a TD to James Thrash? LOL.... James freaking Thrash.

The the nice bomb to Moss.

Then there was the miss sack, which led to a TD, but was called back bec. of holding.

Newman was pasted left and right and looked like Jacques Reeves. Texans are paying him less, though....

Believe it or not, they've been doing that all season.
Playing loose and giving up plenty of yards, but holding in the redzone. They've made up for it on offense by having a balanced game and scoring.

Becoming a one trick pony makes for a lot of 3 and outs. Garrett should have stuck with the run and changed it up between the two backs.

The guys on NBC, Olberman, Collingsworth and Patrick are showing Newman no mercy.

True, Newman was stinking it up today.
That's why the plan should have been try to keep the D off the field with a running game.

yep. i'd blame Garrett too. We're sitting there at the game saying that we haven't really tested their defensive line at all.
