Smart player who really knows the game but that doesn’t make you a great HC. A few years a a DC may be a nice first step, if that’s what he wants to do after football

I was watching this interview he did today and it really struck me how molded he is to be a Head Coach. He would be a great one for sure. I'm sure Jerry and Stephen would hand him a blank check to do it when his playing career is over. He could work his way up the chain of command rapidly and step in as Head Coach when the time is right.

I see know reason it isn't a possibility. Dat Nguyen, was able to do it at least at an assistant level. LB in and of itself kind of lends itself to the analytical nature of a good coach in my opinion.

Dat didn't stay in coaching. It's really hard to know who will want to coach.

You have no clue whether he can be a good head coach at any level much less the NFL. It isn't just about X's and O's. You must be able to manage and motivate a team full of players to buy into your message. Some can do it, most can't.

Jason Garrett just makes it look easy. It's really not.

That actually might be a smart move. Lee has always seemed to have that “It” factor when it comes to the mental side of the game. Just my outsiders opinion. I’m a fan of “defensive minded players” becoming coaches when their playing days are over.

Defense win championships!

Having a great franchise QB like Dak does that for any HC. It didn't look that easy for JG with Kellen Moore.
