I'd Rather Keep TO than Parcells

Who has been worse this year?
Really?
Parcells or Owens?
IMO, it's easily Parcells. Yea, Owens has a lot of drops. However, Parcells has been dreadful in play calling. Nothing is a surprise, nothing is clever. It's so out-dated and easy to guess. I seriously predicted about 40% of the plays tonight, and I don't watch film. I would rather keep Owens and get a new coach, because Owens has at least been awesome at times. Parcells has never been awesome.

I agree. Parcells is really starting to underwhelm me. I point specifically to the way Zimmer has managed this defense. Parcells is partly to blame for that. When a coach is stinking it up, as head coach, you step in and unstink it. That's what Brian Billick did when Jim Fassel was stinking up his offense. Billick is an offensive mind and his team is now powering its way into the playoffs thanks to his decision weeks ago to jettison Fassel. Bill Parcells is a great defensive mind. One would think he would have already stepped in on defense. It truly baffles me.

TO, despite his negatives, brings many positives to this team. We've gone over this numerous times so I won't go into detail. I think we take a giant step backwards, in terms of offensive development, if we don't bring TO back next year.

Not that I agree with everything that you say... But I would keep T.O. instead of Parcells too...

Which drop tonight would lead you to think that TO is a keeper?

How many horrible offensive play calls and stupid gunning would lead YOU to believe Bill is a competent coach?

After watching owens for a second during halftime of the Jets game, He would be gone. It's to late? Guys are screaming the D gave up and this *** is saying they threw him the ball to late? He's no better than the D giving up.

I'd rather keep them both and get me a new D-Coordinator. In reality, outside of the goal line stand this year his play calling has been good. It's certainly a lot better than what Sean Payton was calling last year, especially in the red zone. However, it wouldn't hurt for Parcells to call a QB sneak once this millenium. Plus, he does the same thing that just about every coach in the NFL does that drives me nuts, he insists on running a jumbo package there. Defenses can just stock up on the run and if you try to play action pass, they can get close to the QB and because you have jumbo personnel, you're not going to get much seperation. Spread the defense out a little and force them to at least take the quick pass into consideration. Then you can run or pass. Especially since we are very good running out of the 3 WR formation.

It's not rocket science.

The fact we are in the top 5 in scoring does it for me. He had 1 bad gaffe on the goalline stand and that certainly didn't cost us the game. Get me a D-Coordinator worth his salt and I'll be happy.

Sorry but you are really off target with your assessment of blame. TO takes a small percentage but on the defensive side of the ball a large chunk of the blame pie can be claimed.

Well, as I stated above, the thing that bothers me about Bill is he appears to be doing absolutely nothing about Zimmer.

Go back 6 weeks or so and refresh your memory on what it did for the Raven when Billick jettisoned Fassell. Is the Tuna too old to make such a move?

You want any player saying "it's too late''? I don't. Again I'm not blaming owens for the loss, just his contribution to it. Then bumping his gums.

The guys just not my hero.

What is gunning? I do like the passion of the capital YOU!!!!! That is solid! From what I saw the first drive we get to their 40, and stall? Is that Bill's fault? They go 89 and 95 yards on our D in the 1st half. Is that Bills fault? How many offesnsive posessions did we have in the first half? Was Bill the reason the Eagles seemed to have 3rd and 3 or 3rd and 1 every posession? Again, how many times did we have the ball in the first half? 3 posessions? Did you disageree with running MB III on 4th down? I guess you were against him the other 12 times he scored this year. I love fans that question play calling when you probably played soccer your entire life! THAT'S RIGHT YOU, PATNA YOU. I have caps too! Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!

The guy's not my hero either but I recognize where the blame lies today. The blame lies in Zimmer's continuing underwhelming performance as the leader of our defensive efforts and the fact that it took 27 minutes to get the first ball into out 10 milion dollar playmaker's hands. That's the first throw at him. one which he caught and fought 5 guys to get 5 extra yards. Remember that? Then he caught a TD 2 minutes later just before halftime. Remember that? A playmaker can't make plays if you don't get it to him early and often.

It's Zimmer's fault and he works for Bill so theoretically he works for Bill so...

I point you to the case of Brian Billick and Jim Fassel. Then I point you to the case of Bill Parcells and Mike Zimmer. See the difference?

Then he had two huge drops, remember that? Then he made no move to break up an INT, remember that? I think you have owen Pjs myself.:D

I think you're in denial.

He had one huge drop and he never had a chance to make a move to do anything with the ill advised throw by Romo. That's just like you to see that Dawkins pickoff in the end zone as TO's fault. Doesn't surprise me.

The difference being that Billick fired Fassel, and Bill hasn't fired Zimmer? I guess. Are we sure that Bill has control of that?
