The headliner at Idaho’s pro day, which was held March 11 outdoors on FieldTurf on a wet field with a slope, was G/T Mike Iupati (6-foot-5 1/2, 324 pounds). Though he did not work out at the event (he chose to keep all of his NFL Scouting Combine numbers), that does not mean he won’t be running plenty of drills over the next month.
He already has nine scheduled visits with teams, and worked out with the Browns on Monday. In fact, offensive line coaches from the Jaguars and Eagles were at Idaho’s pro day, and the Packers and Browns had front office representatives in attendance, as well.
While Iupati’s day may not have featured much on-field action, there was an intriguing prospect on hand.
Idaho basketball player Sebastien Taulbee (6-8 3/8, 289) worked out as a defensive end. He ran the 40-yard dash in 5.17 and 5.15 seconds and did 23 repetitions in the bench press at 225 pounds. He also had 36 7/8-inch arms.
