Hey Everyone,

I recently purchased two blazers, one white and one tan. Any suggestions on types of pants, types of shirts, and colors that would work well? Also what type of shoes should be worn? I'm looking to dress well, but not overly formal. Thanks.

You really need to stick w/ what works. I mean think about. Nobody is going to know who you are in those silly blazers.

I think how you normally go out is what really matters. Be yourself. Don't change.

White on white with an aqua/powder blue T-shirt.

Okay, I honestly don't know what I'd do with a white coat. Maybe if it were trench coat length, I'd dress in scrubs underneath.

But with tan, and not wanting to be too formal... I happen to like the coat with jeans look. Probably a darker color of blue jean. You can go with any color shirt, but I would suggest a button down... preferred colors would be blue, green, or white. Dark brown shoes.

Here's an idea of what I'm thinking.

Wear the white blazer only in the summer if you want to get away with it. And god forbid don't wear a black shirt inside otherwise you'll look like Paulie from the Sopranos. Wear either a plain white collared shirt or a white long sleve that has a subtle print with the white jacket. And you'll need white trousers too. The only other way you could get away with that is if you party in a warm weather city like Miami, Las Vegas, LA or even Scottsdale.

Wear the tan jacket with a pair of dark jeans preferably 7 jeans or Paper Denims. You can also wear it with dark pants (not black) and a trendy t-shirt such.

I know I'm going to be ridiculed for revealing I'm a metrosexual but then again I revealed I'm a comic book dork too, but like Dallas said, just be yourself.

Shoes: wear black leather loafers or dark suede loafers or sport/dressy shoes like diesel shoes etc.

I disagree completely. Dressing well shows you have respect for yourself and others. There is nothing manly about being a slob; it just makes you look like a dumb redneck who doesn't know how to take care of himself. You don't have to wear the most expensive or nicest clothes but you should dress neatly and act like you give a damn. Wearing t-shirts and jeans everywere because it's comfortable is going to convey to others that you are a laid back slob that doesn't care about his appearance.
