I have a hard time quantifying what Zeke currently “is”. He’s no longer a dominant back, for sure. He’s not worth his cap hit. He is considered washed up by many.

Today I saw that Samaje Perine signed a two year deal for around 7.5 m total. Zeke seems to have lost his burst. But is Zeke without the burst roughly equivalent to Samaje Perine? That seems to be a reasonable comparison to me.

Any thoughts on this comparison and/or what Zeke’s value might be if he becomes a free agent?

I’d just move on
Jerry probably wont
Realistically I don’t know if a team would offer him much over vet min

Trade him to bengals for a third. Bengals are desperate for rb and he would be a good fit there.

Zeke scored 24 tds over the last 2 years, Perine scored 8. Its not apples to apples in production and other teams would value that and name recognition. Realistically, his contract value is probably around James Conner of 7 million a season. Whether if one thinks his current skill is 3.5 million better than Perine's is another argument.

The #1 problem with Zeke in Dallas is that Jerry will want him to either be featured or a split.

He is a back that should get 5 or 6 touches a game in short yardage situations and thats it. 1.5 to 2 millon per year tops.

Probably 50 RB's in the NFL and another 50 in college that could have scored 24 TD's from inside the 5 given the number of carries Zeke got. They might have scored more.

James Conner blows away Zeke when it comes to skill.

Perine is a better back. Zeke is near useless.

Scoring 12 tds in an NFL season isn't the cake walk that it seems. Not saying I think Zeke is worth 7 million, but if you look at the market that is likely the range.
