Identity? Lack of aggressiveness?

Does this team lack an identity and is there a lack of aggressiveness on offense and defense?

I keep talking about these draw plays that we seem to love on offense. True occasionally we get good gains on these plays but its hardly consistent.

When do we start seeing a more aggressive running attack?

When do we start punishing teams for bringing the blitz rather than keeping everyone in to block.

Martellus Bennett, Felix Jones, Tashard Choice, Jason Witten... I want to see them more involved in offensive production. Trust me I'm really happy we're finally getting production out of our receivers again, but I think Felix Jones on a screen or simply as a safety valve in the flat, is the best thing to stop this constant full blitzing people are putting on us.

And on the other page I don't know why we don't blitz more. It seems like we are some what conservative on defense. Our corners still play well off the los, and we're basically a bend but dont break defense that tries not to give up the big play. Which means less turnovers and less sacks.

The offense seems to be picking it up in terms of aggressiveness the past 2 games.

I was really worried this season was going to tank. I think this team is building up steam at the right time.

Our offense is 2nd in the league. Our defense has been playing pretty good as of lately.

As long as we keep getting better every week, I don't see a problem.

We should find out a lot about the Cowboys Sunday night.

Im just waiting to see something that is effective against the blitz. This is why we've struggled in december, when we play defenses that are non stop blitzing us.... philly, new york, baltimore, pittsburgh...

Romo was sacked 5 times against denver... and he was hit 5 times.

We have to establish to defenses early in the year... blitz us, and you get burned, BAD.

Two tight end formation... make them guess which tight end is staying in to block, rather than keep both in. This makes the defense accountable.

Use our running backs in the flats.

Do you remember than pass to Felix Jones in the last game... completely burned them... this needs to happen like once a drive at least.

Hell i see it happen to us all the time on defense.

I dont know. Maybe they've been waiting to use the screen so they don't have it much on tape. I really don't know.

I've heard we're dumbing down the playbook, and its working so I obviously don't mind, but at some point ist not going to be this easy on offense.

I don't think we are that bad against the blitz. Against ATL, we picked up a blitz perfectly and scored on that play. I think the KC game was a turning point and we are playing much better football.

But I hear ya, and I still wanna see the Cowboys be more consistent. That's why I believe we are going to learn A LOT about this team this Sunday Night. I can't wait.

Im still not sold on our Defense. Our offense has proven capable of being atleast extremely efficent during lengthy stretches over the past few years, but you cant say the same for our defense since Mid '07.

I think I have more worries about the defense than the offense. The offense has been rather good at moving the ball, their achilles has been penalties and turnovers.Eliminate the mistakes on offense and this team is scoring more points in the redzone. The defense seems like a bend but don't break unit that consistently(so it seems) gives up the 3rd and long instead of forcing the three and out.I'm hopeful that the defense can lower the 19.4 points per game allowed, the Eagles game would be a good place to start.
