it keeps crashing right after start up and if it gets past that it crashes as soon as i get the first site up. for some reason chrome isnt letting me download the new version, i keep pressing download and it never prompts me to run it.

any suggestions

Sounds like you've gotten a virus of some sort.

I highly recommend not using IE in the first place. Most web based viruses exploit IE, so use Firefox or another browser.

i ran a virus scan, nothing came up. i really dont know what the deal is, i didnt go to any new sites, it just started crashing and chrome is working fine i just like the features on explorer better

I second the infection diagnosis. Try using the free version of malwarebytes'.

Internet Exploder is like the worst browser out there.

IE is most likely corrupt and the worse part about it about the only way to really fix it is to reinstall the OS it is to integrated into the system.

It also could be a corrupt windows profile do this login in with another account with admin rights if you do not have one create the account reboot login with that account and test IE if it works you have a corrupt profile

well i typed in unhandled exception in google, ant it said to start disabling add ons till it works and i disabled one and it is working now lol
