should we be concerned with cutting high-priced players and taking the majority (if not all) of the cap hit in 2009?

There will be a cap in 2009. The uncapped year, if there is one, would be 2010.

So that leaves Dallas 2 options:

1) leave things as they are and plug holes (try to get guys cheaper than they can in 2010)

2) wait 'til 2010 when they can go Yankees on the league and buy up all the big talent.

Agree, I don't know why people think there will be.

What the Yankees have done in the last few weeks probably just ensures it.

While part of me wishes there was no cap, in the long run it would ruin the league.
