The whole premise is silly. This season, the Cowboys played only five games that were decided by more than one score. For any game decided by one score or less, you can point to one or two plays that "made the difference". We could've been 14-2 or 3-13, by that argument. We weren't.

The "good" news is that we went 2-9 in close games. That's a very unusual record and likely to regress to the mean next year, even if we aren't much better. And truly bad teams don't play 11 close games.
