There is no other way. Even if Red does ok. I think he has a consultant help him in the coming years. Possibly without the public knowing.Jerry isnt a dumb man. He will realize. He looked so beaten at that press conference he was stuttering and not answering questions. Its getting to him.

I'd be all for it, but this seems like wishful thinking. Jerry's downright stubborn. Unless you know folks within telling you this.

Stephen already handles all the contracts, the salary cap, and has input into coaching decisions according to rumors going around (that it was Stephen that insisted Wade get fired, not Jerry).

So Stephen is already heavily involved in the day to day running of this franchise. People act like Stephen is just sitting on his butt doing jack and Jerry is going to hand the franchise over to him. They dont realize how many decisions that are being made are being made by Stephen right now.

So, hypothetically speaking, if Stephen did take over as GM, I really dont think you would see that drastic of a change. I know this is probably not what alot of posters wanted to hear, but its the truth.

Its common knowledge, the biggest clue is that when there is a PC to announce a contract extension, Jerry turns to Stephen (who is sitting right beside him) and tells everybody that Stephen will give the contract details.

Jerry even introduced Stephen at the kick off event in San Antonio as "The guy that spends the money". I was there so I heard it first hand.
