I don’t think Belichick would waste any time going after Dez. He traded a fourth round pick for Randy Moss. He brought in Albert Haynesworth for a look. Like I said with Amendola gone and Gronk having injury issues and thinking about an acting career Dez would make a lot of sense in NE.

Some would love to fantasize that one of the best franchises would scoop him up and turn him into an all pro, elite WR but the bottom line would be money. Whoever gives him the best offer is where Dez would go. He's already demonstrated that it's about the money by refusing a franchise tag and holding out for a big payday.
I don't see Dez going to NE simply because he's not a disciplined route runner. And they also have a reputation for not overpaying. With how the WR market has changed, he would expect more.

Jerry is loyal to players to a fault, he’s not going to cut someone he admires as much as Dez after all the free agency money dries up.

We also do not have a plan in place for his replacement. A rookie, 83 and 11 isn’t going to cut it.

We do draft his replacement this year though.

He still has freakish athletic ability and that’s been able to overcome his football IQ. Albert Haynesworth didn’t come off as the brightest bulb and was a lazy sack of crap but Belichick gave him a look. Bottom line is with Romo Dez produced. Even with Dak he’s put up 13 TDs the past two seasons. With Brady getting up in years and the Pats losing Amendola and possibly Gronk to retirement in the near future Dez would make a lot of sense.
