I live in Baton Rouge, La now (not Pearland, TX anymore, as my profile indicates), and the drive is over 7 hours each way. It is supposed to snow down here this weekend, but I'm still making the trip. Nothing will keep me away from this game.

I didn't even ask my wife...better to ask for forgiveness than permission in my household. I just told her that we're making a road trip this weekend, and I have some important business.

it was fantastic!! man, it was incredibly loud and rowdy there, by far the loudest i've ever been at a Cowboys game.. well, except when Emmitt broke the rushing record, but as far as from beginning to end, it was loud and it was a blast! i had a ton of fun with the party pass experience.. i got a good place to stand and i could see the field and the end screen (not the long way, the "small" screens at the end).. i had the end zone view.. but seriously, it was just a blast.. highly recommended.. getting to go to a game in that wonderful stadium for that price is a bargain.. now, if you don't like standing for 4 hours, it's not for you.. but i'm one of those that likes to stand the entire game anyways..

:) Awesome that you made it! I look forward to my first experience at the new stadium this weekend. I haven't been to a Dallas home game in over 10 years.

How did you get the party pass on gameday? Were they selling them at the ticket office?
 
Got 3 party passes.
$35 for a post-season game is dirt cheap.

I have two 50 yard line, upper deck tickets available. I was hoping to get $460 for the pair, but would entertain offers.
 
We just bought 2 tickets in section 120. My brother in-law is getting a party pass ticket cause we cant find a set of 3 tickets and he couldn't find anyone to split 2 more tickets in Section 120 for $650 with.

Will anyone be doing any Tail gateing?

Hmm, I've been waiting on a injury settlement and was planning to go to the game yesterday but in the end I couldn't go. I used up my vacation as well, but now I'm thinking of being spontaneous and just going this weekend. With the game being on Saturday I don't need any vacation from work and can just drive down most of the way Friday night, the rest Saturday, and then back home on Sunday.

Just need a decent hotel for at least Saturday night, preferebly one that shuttles to the games (I don't trust my car around a lot of people, especially if they were drinking). Also need to find a place for my dog for the couple of days we'd be gone.
 
I dont know anything about how the tail gateing normaly goes, I would love to go hang out before the game for a couple of hours and Bs with people. It will be me my wife and her brother driving about 4 hours to get there.

I went to this Mexican restaurant up in Grapevine on Saturday night... a place called Cozymel's. Anyway, McNabb and a couple of his buddies were sitting at the bar.

I gave my camera phone to my friend and went up to him and asked "Hey Donovan, can I get a picture?"

He said, "No, man, no, not right now. Maybe later."

I said to my friend, "at least I know what he'll be throwing up on the field tomorrow." :D

Ok, so getting a hotel close to the game, isn't a great option right now. What is the best way to go about getting to the stadium if you don't plan to use your own vehicle?

And if you do drive (which I don't intend to) what is the best place to park, and way to get there?

This place has always treated me well. They're reasonably priced, they have a shuttle to and from the airport and to and from the game.

Only negative is that there isn't anything to do within walking distance, but the shuttle will take you to bars/restaurants in the area.
