good choice

I'm not so mad that we don't have a 1st round pick anymore, although Jeremy Maclin would be pretty sweet in Dallas

I doubt Maclin falls to where we would have been. He's a totally legit top 15 pick IMO.

I would have liked to see that one go for one of the 1st round grade safeties, ILBs, or DE/OLBs.

RBs and TEs catching passes hurt us big time, I really want someone back there capable of coverage. I think that is going to have the biggest immediate impact for us. Barwin would be my second choice because he's another playmaker. He can get after the QB, but being a former TE I am also intrigued by his abilities in coverage. Loadholt is bigger and more athletic than Johnson so I'd go with him. As a LG I think he could be something special.

Sean Smith but then I'd put on my Thinkin Cap and try to figure out how to trade up from the 3rd round (Cleveland's pick) and get in position to take Herman Johnson.

I really don't understand the hype surrounding Johnson... yeah, he's big as a mountain, but he's just about as immobile as a mountain, too... you won't be seeing him pull on a sweep very often in the NFL, about the only thing he can do is drive block (I'll admit, he's so huge that he's pretty good at that)...

I have a sneaking hunch that Herman won't be much in the NFL, unless he drops 15-25 pounds... he won't make it at 367, IMO...

I will give you my picks:2nd round- K.Ellison-Usc-saftey or Chung-Oregon
3rd round- Ron Brace-Boston College-Dt/Nt -6'3-333
Iwould trade Roy Williams for a 3rd round pick and then: 3rd Round-2-Josh Freeman-Kansas St. QB 6'5-238,
4th Rouund-1-Alexander Boone-OT-6'7 315
4th Round-2-Dannell Ellerbe-Georgia-Mlb-6'1 236
5th Round-1-Cedrick Dockery-Texas-OG-6'3 320
5th Round-2-Zack Follett-Cal-olb-6'2 232
7th Round-1- Troy Nolan-Ariz.St-S-6'1 208
7th Round- Trade any other picks.
Ok,Let me explain,We move Henry to FS,Hamlin to ss,these are temp moves with Brace you can move Ratliff back to DE. He is great but will ware down eventually. Brace is a big young body and we have a junior Saivai. I say let Canty go,while WARE IS GETTING DOUBLED,THere should be more production out of Canty and Spears. I think we can get a 3rd for Roy and use that to draft a project, please take a look at these guys FREEMAN is big strong and mobile and has a cannon. He need just some good coaching and in two years i am tellling you watch out. We will know about both guys because to me TONY needs some competition. I would sign Bollinger back and just work with this guy he throws a great deep ball esp.on the run. HE JUST NEEDS SOME COACHING. The 4th ROUND, We get Flo replacement in 2years and depth we need. Dannell Elllerbe, only 6'1 but plays bigger in the 240lb range and he is insurance if Burnett leaves and Zach Thomas. 5th Round more line depth Dockery ,good school could be future, adds depth! Zach FOLLETT,oH MY GOD,DO YOU SEE HOW THIS GUY HITS! I would possibly take him in the 4th,this gives us more insurance at lb. Troy Nolan, same thing gives us much needed depth and allows Keith Davis to concentrate on ST. Yeh ,Bye the way Davis and Carlos Polk two key FA WE HAVE TO RESIGN, first. i DON'T SEE OUR OFFENSE AS A PROBLEM WHEN EVERYBODY HEALTHYand this ol plays but with my picks we have the depth and able to look to the future because the futures near for FLo. The Offense to me is set. Bring Josh in and Work and Tony needs to know i have to get my iiit together this kid is bigger stronger and more mobile than me and can take my job in a couple years. Ther is nothing wrong with a little competition.Guys do some research on these guys.

We need to groom a replacement for Flozell

IMO Loadhalt is a right tackle ONLY at the NFL level. Speed rushers are going to have a field day with him.

Hughes (TCU) and Orakpo (Texas) destroyed him this year.

I don't know if that's a good enough reason not to draft the guy. Especially if you consider where Orakopo is going to go this year.

I have no problem drafting him. I just don't see him as Flozell's eventual replacement at left tackle.
