The makings of a high level offense are there. Now obviously there are a lot of unknowns - what kind of coach Shotty is, can Pickens not implode, etc.

Assuming most of the questions are answered positively you have a potentially good to great OL (although I still have issues with Steele), you have a quality WR corps now, a quality starting TE and if Blue is as good as some claim, you make potential at RB.

That then leaves the QB. Fingers crossed.

I have bigger concerns about Guyton at left tackle than I do with Steele. Steele looked to be getting back to form later in the season and I hope the change in offensive line coach(es) benefit everyone.

Right. Guyton still looked iffy at times. I think we are premature assuming this is a great OL.

Does it have the potential with 3 #1’s? Of course but it isn’t there yet.

I wouldn’t assume OL is strong enough yet that RB By Committee is all we need.

Can't wait until TC and the 1st PS game. Now we will get, well, it is PS, scrubs, etc.
But is he doing what he is supposed to be doing. Are the surrounding players doing what they are supposed to be doing.

Say, are the back up OL actually blocking. There will be some interesting debates going on as usual.

You guys are putting a lot on the back of a late 5th round rb....the likelihood is that it is going to be one of the vets we signed getting the bulk of the carries and blue will be a change of pace every once and a while

I thought Guyton played better late too. We have to remember he was a RT in college playing LT in the nfl. That’s a huge leap. Even guys who were top LT in college struggle some in the nfl

Probably early on. I think only one of the vets make the roster. But blue can be used like Turpin in some pkg. his route running is like a WR. Early on get him a few reps running and a few as a reciever

Dak’s good at eluding outside pressure.

Guyton should be better than last year and just being better will be enough.

I’m not worried about Steele. Steele can play at a high level but I don’t think he fully recovered from his injury last season.

The OL should be good & interior should be dominant.

Great may be a reach but improved is reasonably. 2 more seconds for the QB, 1 more yard before contact for the RB is really a big improvement

steele was better at run blocking but he was still bad at pass blocking

Agree. Guyton played RT in college so the leap to the nfl would have been a lot playing RT. But playing LT that he didn’t play much in college is a huge leap at the nfl level. We don’t need him to be Tyron, just avg is huge

he had two full years by the end of last season to recover and he still was not there
his lateral movement was never all that great and its THERE that the problem is since he has not gotten that back and by now it is not likely he ever will

He’s always been better run blocking. But I thought his pass blocking was better late in the year. If we can effectively run the football that really helps the passing game

Its possible but will all depend on TC. Historically, 5th round rbs are not usually successful and I would not pin much on him in terms of hopes for a fantastic rb, the odds just aren't in his favor.

The other issue is if he does get a few snaps and then the fumbles come, he's going to get sat down fast.

Speed is great but he needs more than that to be successful, I would bet on the 2 fas way before him at this point...not to say i wouldn't be thrilled to see him look like a top rb but I just don't see it

Blue is good at everything..

He doesn’t really have a huge hole in his game.

But he needs a back with him to compliment him.

Regardless of the round he was picked they can't allow another Rico Dowdle situation to occur. Rico was a undrafted FA and was the best option from the start.

Blue is more of a slot WR than a RB. Don't get me wrong, love the pick, and he should be relevant. Not a bell cow, though.

Left-handed QB. Not a huge leap at all. Only thing he needs is some technique and footwork improvements.

If Blue turns out to be the best RB on the roster you play him as such.
