If Blue is legit

Texas had really good RBs the years he's been there:

In 2022, Blue's freshman year, they had Bijon and Rochon Johnson as the #1 and #2.

In 2023, they had Brooks and Baxter as the #1 and #2, with Blue being #3. Blue was very productive as the #3 averaging 6.1 yards a carry (the same as Brooks) on 65 carries.

Last year, Blue's was the #2 and had 134 carries averaging 5.4 yards per carry.

Blue has never been give the starting role....

But he's got a good chance of earning that role with the Cowboys.

You're to be forgiven... I don't (either) read every page of a thread this long. Hell, what am I talking about. I almost never even read a full page on here, ever.

But your point was, indeed, already posted as a response... and given reply.....

I think regardless he is a complementary player.

That’s not a slight on him either. Especially in todays football.

I just can’t help but see the same type of player as Jahmyr Gibbs.

Gibbs is an elite RB. Hes also a complimentary player that needs to be paired with a bruiser.

Even if Blue is unbelievable he will always need a bruiser to be paired with.
I can agree with that.

But with the type of success Achan and Bucky Irving have had, who are similar in size to Blue, Blue can absolutely win the starting job and play 60-65% of the snaps if he's effective.

Probably early on. I think only one of the vets make the roster. But blue can be used like Turpin in some pkg. his route running is like a WR. Early on get him a few reps running and a few as a reciever
yes. if Turpin is going to be a bigger part of the offense, you needed a backup in that role, otherwise if there is injury to Turpin the playbook gets smaller. Risk addressed.
