CeeDee Lamb on verge of stardom
Lamb stepped into a great offense his first two seasons. Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup were the other two receivers. The Cowboys had Ezekiel Elliott and a stellar offensive line. Lamb was a first-round draft pick but just had to do his part.

The attrition rate is high in the NFL. Cooper was traded for nearly nothing to the Cleveland Browns. Gallup is still coming back from a torn ACL. Elliott is in a troubling decline. The offensive line has been taking hits, most notably a leg injury to left tackle Tyron Smith that could keep him out all season. Lamb has no choice but to take on a much bigger role.

Lamb has been good for the Cowboys. In two seasons he has 153 catches, 2,037 yards and 11 touchdowns. There's nothing wrong with that, but the Cowboys need a lot more from him this season.

“I don’t think it’s a shock that he’s going to get a lot of targets,” Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore said, via SI.com. “He’s going to have a great opportunity here."

I don't believe in Ceedee Lamb at all as a top 10 receiver.
The good part is, hey, you don't have to...cash flow comes more with opportunity. He now is a top dog on a top level passing team, no matter what else is brought to one's eye.

Which is exactly why the Cowboys are holding on to their cap money. They can then slide it over to the following year and use it to pay CeeDee. Yes, I know he'll has a year left but we all know he's going to hold out after this season....right?

There's no reason to worry about that now. Any extension Lamb gets doesn't start until 2025. And the first year of their new contract isn't often that high. So even if Lamb breaks the bank after this season ,don't expect a big cap hit until 2026. So stop worrying about it.

Me neither. He's a decent receiver, but he will never be a Michael Irvin or Jerry Rice. He has too many drops to be taken seriously as a top receiver.

Lamb has the talent to be. He has more natural talent then Hopkins and Kupp to name a few. Let’s see if he improved his catching and route running.

I have noticed lots of our Cowboys Zoners think all our players are overrated except for Parsons. At first I thought fans were picking the Eagles because they think they are good. Now fans seem to think Dallas talent sucks. Interesting………..

Doesn't make me really happy. I would rather have 2 good ones than 1 super star. If you don't have a great 2nd, just double or give safety help.

Kinda of like I see the year start.

so we will end up making him a top 3 paid player, yet he is not even top 10 and that won't allow us to sign any other FAs to make us into a championship team :omg:

Honestly, who cares, blow the cap out now and win. What’s saving and worrying about the cap done for us lately?

You got me confused. I think highly of Parsons, Diggs, Dak, Martin to name a few. And I don't see us losing out to philly
