There's no reason to worry about that now. Any extension Lamb gets doesn't start until 2025. And the first year of their new contract isn't often that high. So even if Lamb breaks the bank after this season ,don't expect a big cap hit until 2026. So stop worrying about it.
Oh, you should direct the statement of concern to the author...I was posting a perspective of value in contracts and when they become deeply analyzed. You touched upon it but it also applied to our just departed receiver and will meet heavy scrutiny for our starting running back next season. Thanks for not wanting me to be totally ignorant in your eyes. A truly heroic endeaver there fella'...

so we will end up making him a top 3 paid player, yet he is not even top 10 and that won't allow us to sign any other FAs to make us into a championship team :omg:
Now that must be an example of 'new math' that wouldn't touch advanced calculus...:muttley:

And even if he doesn't he'll still break the bank.

Jerry likes his guys and he forced CeeDee to be #88 which basically labeled him as a "Jerry guy".

He's gonna get paidddddddd.

If he plays like they think he will, and I don't disagree, then he should.

What was said about To? And I’m not sure if you’re disagreeing or agreeing with what you quoted….

The Cowboys used a 1st round pick on Lamb to the "the guy", not a complementary piece, so this is no surprise.

It's now your move, CeeDee.

CeeDee Lamb on verge of stardom
Lamb stepped into a great offense his first two seasons. Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup were the other two receivers. The Cowboys had Ezekiel Elliott and a stellar offensive line. Lamb was a first-round draft pick but just had to do his part.

The attrition rate is high in the NFL. Cooper was traded for nearly nothing to the Cleveland Browns. Gallup is still coming back from a torn ACL. Elliott is in a troubling decline. The offensive line has been taking hits, most notably a leg injury to left tackle Tyron Smith that could keep him out all season. Lamb has no choice but to take on a much bigger role.

Lamb has been good for the Cowboys. In two seasons he has 153 catches, 2,037 yards and 11 touchdowns. There's nothing wrong with that, but the Cowboys need a lot more from him this season.

“I don’t think it’s a shock that he’s going to get a lot of targets,” Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore said, via SI.com. “He’s going to have a great opportunity here."

That’s when to go out get a 5th & 6th rounder for him
