Hate to say it, but with what Stephan Jones was quoted as saying recently (basically, that if Adrian Peterson is the draft you find out the cost to move up and if it's not prohibitive then you go with it), I think if D-MAC drops to 4 or 5 in the draft which would make the value of the pick: 1800 and 1700 respectively I think they view D-MAC grading out as high as Peterson and will pull the trigger.

22= 780
28= 660
1440

Add in a 2nd or 3rd or swap positions or player.

I think an indicater of this will be if Dallas a big-time FA CB.
(not Drayton).

I expect him to fall to the Raiders and that is where we will sell our souls..... again.....

Falls? I thought it was pretty much assumed that he wouldn't go top 3 unless a trade.

On the other hand, if we sign MBIII to a long-term contract before the Draft, I doubt we move up for DMac.

We're not going to tie up that much money in the running back position.

IF he drops to 22 I would consider it...but I was one of the guys who was excited when Carpenter was drafted. So, what do I know...:(

I for one am not on board. He's not worth it. We have other areas of concern. I'm hoping we can grab Ray Rice in the 2nd. I think he's going to be a great Rb.

We would still have to give up too much to go up and get him. Save our picks and pick a RB who will still be available when we're on the clock. We can use those picks and improve the team more overall if we keep them instead of giving them up to go up for McFadden.

:starspin I would be happy if this is how our first round went. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Jones does his best to trade down to pick up and extra pick or two, but I would prefer to see us take a CB with our 1st pick and either the best RB or WR available with our second pick.

I agree 100%

However, Felix Jones may not last to 28. We may need to go RB at #22 and then best CB at #28, maybe Cromartie:D

I didn't deserve this.

Yeah, you did...

I find myself wondering how many other readers know we're quoting a scene from "The Color of Money"... your line was spoken by real-life pool shark Steve Mizerak, after losing to Fast Eddie Felson in the opening round of that Atlantic City tournament...
