If Dak were to go down with an injury, it's really over!

Given the schedule and extent of our injuries its already on life support.

Our only chance is to come out of these games 3-3, get everyone back healthy and somehow, some way learn to play some semblance of defense.

I really thought we'd improve as rhe year went on, but we appear to be getting worse with each passing week.
No, our only chance is to lose enough games to get a high enough draft pick that even Jerry can't mess up

I have news for you; we could call it a wrap before the season started. This team is not built in any way to give them a chance at winning consistently. They are too thin at too many critical positions.
Thin meaning bereft of talent.

wel obviously if your best QB gets hurt, your season is probably over, unless you have Tom Brady or Joe Montana waiting in the wings.

That said, I doubt this season is going to be winning , even with Dak.

I'm not saying we're going to magically win because he's playing, but if he goes down we can really call it a wrap. Bring in ALL the backup players you got, and tank it away!!

Dak is that last straw that's keeping the team together! This is not a bash nor praise on Dak!!
Queue the Green Bay Packers and Micah Parsons….

It's already over. Dak is the type that needs a complete team around him to be successful. With the starting WR and RG out for 3 to 4 weeks, this is a point of no return for this team.

It was over the second they hired a total clown as a head coach.

“Dallas has missed the playoffs in 2020 and last season after Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending injury.”

That definitely implies they missed the playoffs because Dak went out.
It is a factor in why the team missed the playoffs. It is not an implication. Here are several questions relatable to your assertion:

1. Was both the 2020 and 2024 roster and coaching staff adequately capable of outscoring every team and qualifying for the playoffs after Prescott's injuries? Keep in mind. You stated:

In 2020 we were 1-3 with Dak.
In 2024 we were 3-5 with Dak.
In 2020, we were:
  • 4-5 with starter Andy Dalton
  • 0-1 with starter Garrett Gilbert
  • 0-1 with starter Ben DiNucci
Last season, we were:
  • 4-4 with starter Cooper Rush
  • 0-1 with starter Trey Lance
I do not believe in fairy tales, so I will ask your opinion as my second question of your football assessment skills:

2. Prior to them starting, are you saying Andy Dalton, Garrett Gilbert, Ben DiNucci, Cooper Rush and/or Trey Lance were capable of leading the 2020 and 2024 offenses (and the overall team) to playoff berths?

Just curious. I am a fan at heart. I want the team to win every game regardless of every real life deficit it faces. Again, there is zero implication of those specific 2020 and 2024 teams, that we all were watching, were competent enough to reach the postseason ahead other NFC teams with better rosters and coaching in those respective seasons.

Hit me with another usual reply.

I estimate over 70% of all NFL teams ever have missed the playoffs after their starting quarterback was lost for the season.

Dallas has missed the playoffs in 2020 and last season after Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending injury.

There does appear to be a strong correlation. It will indeed be all over Dallas misses the playoffs should Prescott go down with an injury.

How did you come to this unfathomable conclusion? Please. No. That is not good enough. I am begging you. Give me your thoughts.
Correct,

because unlike last year, we weren't able to keep him healthy until the defense got back on track, and when they finally found a run game and if the right mix on the offensive line, he was gone..

so, if we can stay afloat in above water until these things get fixed, then we have a much better chance to close out the season and possibly do something to get this right.

I mean we were mathematically in it in the back half of the season until that blunder on special teams, I still can't remember if it was Washington or Cincinnati where the special teams corner got the ball hit him and that pretty much ended the game, But the we are still strangely in it with a bunch of backups ,we nearly swept Washington,

so imagine if you have Prescott still upright when all these players who are none of them are season ending get back..

and for sure maybe they figure out how to run out the proper defensive scheme.

..
