There will be some very disappointed fans because it won't be for OL.

Despite all the love for nice players like DeCastro and Konz, this draft was always going to be about defense, and after the way our defense has performed, it's not about "futures" but guys who can start or contribute this year.

1st pick...CB
Next pick DL or S

Maybe a center later

AGREED! I just don't know how we are going to get back in. We need help on the dline big time. Another pass rusher would be niceeeee.

Nah, it'll be OG or C. There aren't any safeties worth taking really. And none of the DEs are all that special here. But there are some really good guards and centers left here.

Might be Fleener, going off reports that we love him so much.

Dallas always takes a runningback in the third or fourth, but they might opt for Philip Blake in third or fourth round as well.

Trade Jenkins for a second rounder.

Doubt anybody gives you a second straight up for a corner with a bum shoulder in a contract year.

I don't see them trading up into round 2, but it should be clear to everyone by now that the Cowboys truly go Best Player Available. Could be any position (though, hopefully not CB again).

BUT...OL has to be a very strong target. The 2nd round still has Cordy Glenn, Jonathan Martin, Peter Konz, Mike Adams, and Amini Silatolu. That's a lot of talent that could push someone like Brandon Brooks or Ben Jones into Round 3. It's clear the Cowboys felt they could handle OL after the 1st.

And Safety was solved with our 1st. Why play a Safety that's mediocre in coverage when you can play with 3 man cover CBs + Sensabaugh. On passing downs, we'll bring in Scandrick. On short yardage, we'll bring in Church and Pool. It's a passing league. Safety is the new Fullback - antiquated position.

Phillip Blake in the 3rd. OL fixed. I have high hopes that Livings/Beardeau/Nagy/Arkin can man the guard positions. I think we go with the kid from Memphis (Leary) in the 7th.

Kendall Reyes, Devon Still or Cordy Glenn all would help this team out tremendously.

only team dumb enough to make a move like that doesn't have a 2nd (or really any picks) this year

Terrific, Chuck... now, can you tell me what the lottery numbers will be for the Mega Millions tomorrow??

I mean, since you can see the future...

It's going to be tough sledding to get back into the 2nd round. We would have to mortgage our entire draft to do it.

The question is that worth it. Is that 2nd round player worth more than the 3rd, 4th, 4th, 5th round players that it would probably cost to move into the 2nd.

I'm a little split, but I honestly doubt that many rookies will make this squad.

I would rather get a higher percentage impact player.

Can't trade the 4th round comp pick.
