I don’t have a good feeling or like our chances today. I feel like the game will turn out much like the Giants Eagles game did yesterday, unfortunately

I was thinking the same thing. I have a bad feeling about our chances. If somehow we beat the 49ers, I can't see how we can stop Philly with our D.

If last year didn't happen, I'd probably agree. But I think this underdog role we're in mixed in with being embarrassed last year is going to propel this team today. Do I think dak is going to have the game he had last week. No. But I do think he'll do enough with this defense forcing some key 3 and outs to get this job done.

It would be a great achievement based on the last quarter century.

I won’t move the goalpost and insist they have to win the NFC Championship game. I’ve already said I would be satisfied just to be IN the championship game

I know the Lombardi is the true goal but I’d still be satisfied with being in the final 4 for now
Funny .......I have a strange feeling we will win today and empty the tank with nothing left for next week's game against the Eagles.

If the Cowboys win today they will travel to Philadelphia to play the NFC Championship game. It would be their 5th road game in a row. FIFTH !!
Does anyone have any idea what the NFL record is for a team playing consecutive road games ? It's gotta be very near a record, right ?
There have been (I believe) 11 wild-card teams that made the SB.

The 2020 Bucs, 2010 Packers, 2007 Giants, 2005 Steelers, 2000 Ravens and 1985 Patriots played their last regular-season game at home.
The 1999 Titans, 1997 Broncos, 1992 Bills and 1980 Raiders played their WC game at home.
The 1975 Cowboys played their season finale and all their playoff games on the road, but that only amounted to three in a row, since WC weekend didn't exist then and they played their second-to-last regular-season game at home.

So I can at least say no Super Bowl team has ever played more than three road games in a row. It's still possible a team that lost the CCG played 4 or 5 road games in a row before, but that'll take a bit more digging. I'm assuming no team has ever finished the regular season with 3 road games in a row, so 5 would seem the likely upper limit.

Following up...

Found one! The 1982 Jets played 6 straight road games on their way to losing the AFCCG to the Dolphins. That was a strike year with a shortened season, which is probably what caused the schedule weirdness.

The 2019 TItans, 2013 49ers, 2005 Panthers and 1989 Rams played four road games in a row and lost the CCG.
The 2010 Jets and 1987 Vikings played 5 of their last 6 on the road (losing the CCG) but their regular-season finales were home games.

Pretty sure that's it, assuming no team before 1978 played 3 straight road games to end the regular season (no WC weekend in those days).

I was just about to bring up the Jets. Anything prior to that year is unlikely.

As a mouth breathing Eagles fan it might be a good idea for you to think about what you are writing before posting it

I'm glad every game is on the road. Less humiliating than losing on your home field.

If Dak lays another egg today, and Purdy is good....could we trade for Trey Lance?

Maybe could get him for cheap
