If Detroit selects a QB in in round 1.....

How bout we go after Josh McCown? I think he would be a good veteran backup to Tony Romo and has a similar style of play. I dont think Detroit will pass up the opportunity finally to grab a QB like Quinn. I think McCown will be under contract next year, but if Detroit wont keep him, Kitna, and a rookie. If we had to trade for him, I think a 4th is reasonable.

Yes they only have 2 wins and are pretty crappy but they play SF and Zona the next 2 weeks. They also have Miami and GB still left.

They have won 2 out of 3 and are not playing all that poorly. The pounded a pretty good ATL team. If they end up with 6 to 7 wins they'll pick 7 to 13 or so. Quinn is very unlikely to be there then. Brian Brohm might be but do they go that route after failures with other young QBs?

Were I Detroit I'd draft anything but a skill position round 1.
Then in round 2 or 3 I'd look QB if value was right.

Detriot is not going to have a shot at Quinn. I doubt they will be picking a QB in the first because their coach is more focused on building a defense.

They will probably take Jamarcus Russell or Troy Smith in the 2nd or 3rd round and let them learn behind Kitna. Teams who will likely take QB in the first are:

1. Oakland
2. Miami
3. Maybe Minny if they don't want to wait for Jackson to develop
4. Kansas City because Brodie Croyle is made of glass
