Practice would be in the morning, then they could fly in the afternoon. Anyone know the flight info?
I could get it, I know a few few that can get this info from DFW airport. But getting a hold of them would be tough today. I'm sure the are busier than one armed paper hangers right now. Pouring rain, and wouldn't doubt it's a mess out there.
And the person who has worked the flights before is not at work today.

Yesterday on talkin Cowboys they said practice would be in the am as usual and would fly out around 2. Also said on Fridays practice runs from 11 to around 1230 and it would likely remain the same today. Their walk through will be at a HS near the hotel tomorrow

I recall reading that they had a morning flight with a visit to the Towers Memorial scheduled for the afternoon. Pretty sure they're flying out early.

I hope this isn't a mistake, giving up a practice. I know they had extra time to prepare, but need that practice time. As last week, with CBA rules, it would have been very limited.

Thanks, this is what I originally thought. Haven't heard back from my friend yet at the airport.

They have enough new faces playing roles this week that every practice would be important, it seems to me. Having said that, let's hope the D comes up big and takes some pressure off the offense. It would be nice to get just a tiny bit of help from Special Teams, as well. Everyone focuses on the offensive an defensive issues, all the while, special teams have been just as bad, if not worse.

I originally didn't think he would play, but the random practice photo's make it look like he is legitimately practicing(not just playing catch) and when Witten was asked about Dez practicing, he kind of smiled and said that he doesn't pay attention to those guys because he is busy working on his stuff... The sense I get is that he is really close and farther along than I would have thought he would be. I'm starting to think that he has definitely not been ruled out of the game. I think the team will try to hold him out a little longer to allow the bone to fully heal if they can. My concern is that it's healed enough to run on, but throw a couple guys tackling you in and it can increase the risk of re-injury if it's not 100% back. I would not be surprised at all if he is dressed and active for the game.

Dez is a mutant or metahuman. ..if anyone can return from his injury in half the predicted time it's him. Having him on the field would be huge!!.I can't stress that enough. The giants will have to play us totally different. Might even open up the run game a bit.

I hope he plays we need this game.

If we lose this game and he doesn't play because people are scared you've pretty much thrown the season away, because it will be very hard to run the tables.

So if all checks out and he is able to go I say you have to do it.

I am curious, just what do you expect from dez if he did play this game !!!!!!
He hasnt played since the GB game last year, I dont even count the 1st game.
He cant be in great shape, will lack stamina, and hopefully will be hydrated.
And then can he jump way up and come down on that foot?

I just dont see him jumping in this game and making a difference, or being the same dez we are used to seeing.
Plus he has the questionable foot!

I could see him doing the little back shoulder fade if we are at the 2 or 3 yd line, so that would help.

And then if his foot did get hurt again or agitated, he could miss more games even rest of season.

So if and when he does play dont expect the 2014 dez anytime soon.

What I expect? I think that is a silly question, because I do not know what the flow of the game will be. But obviously if Dez is out there the defense will still have to account for him. They are not going to just leave him there one on one, because that would be foolish. So what does that do? Opens up for everyone else to get single coverage. If he makes plays great.

You can worry all you like about hurting the bone, but medical doctors who view it every day have signed off on it so I will leave the worrying up to them as I am not a medical doctor.

But to not play him because you are worried about him injuring it again is silly (and just an opinion with no medical data to support that). If he plays and they win obviously he made an impact outside of just his stats. If they don't win the season is pretty much coming to an end, and I'd rather him play and they try and win the game to salvage the season if he is medically cleared to play.

I think you are minimizing Dez as a player and a competitor we've only seen the versions of Dez in 12, 13,14 etc... You can discount and say he hasn't played since GB, but that isn't accurate.

I would say if Dez plays expect that he makes a few plays shows some flashes of what the Dez is we all know and love, and watch him open up things for other players.

I mean you're basically saying that if he sits out another week still don't expect to see 2014 Dez either so what is the difference? If he is medically cleared let him go let him make an impact like he will try and do and get better so we can see the best 2015 version of Dez.

Broaddus just said on the fan that the power was out at VR wonder if this caused them to change the flight

I doubt if it has anything to do with it.
Power out there would only effect any team meetings. They can move those to the stadium.
They may have held practice there anyway with all the rain here.

He has NOT been ruled out as of the last report I saw about an hour ago. He will likely be a game time decision.

Listed as doubtful. He's not running routes full speed so don't expect him to play this Sunday.

Try to keep up. Friday practice has been on the books all week and was the most realistic test date of Dez's foot.

Let us pray.

Only conditioning for Dez. No practice for him as he's not ready for practice yet.
