Was thinking the same thing... Guy has been a healthy scratch for weeks. That concerns me. A lot. We are very thin at LBer, so if he was lighting it up in practice you'd think he could crack a ST unit at least.

Anyway-- I hope Durant's injury is minor and we find some help at LBer. If that's Nzeocha-- I'd be ecstatic.

Yea wonder why he hasn't gotten any chances? He played so well in preseason, and then the injury. I can't imagine he is still hurt or just not that good?

He's been doing ok for what he is. A LB with more speed and better coverage skills would be a better fit. Someone who can't be exposed on crossing routes like Durant can in coverage.

Wilson appears to be emerging as an improving young player. He played a lot of nickel yesterday in place of Durant and appeared to do a solid job. Very positive sign there.

No doubt..........loved his reaction time to the 1st on-sides kick---"gobbled it up" very instinctively. Even Zeke didn't have the same reaction time on the 2nd on-side kick

Wilson also had the big hit on fat boy--met him behind los and drove him back. A step up on the strong side for sure

[Verdict]

Wilson played well yesterday. These coaches are doing a very good job coaching up this defense, particularly the defensive backs. When everyone is healthy we are a decent defense outside of defensive end, which sort of appears to be a bit of a black hole.

I guess we need to hire a consultant to scout defensive ends for us and then hire us a good defensive ends coach. We really need to fix that problem next year.
