First off, let it be known that i can't stand Skip Bayless. He acts like when he worked in Dallas someone in the Cowboy organization kicked him in the nuts and he's never gotten over it.

But this morning on First take i heard them say that Skip thinks the Browns will be a whopping 0-16 this year.

So as my thread title states, if there is ever a time i want him to finally be right, this is that time.

I would love for him to be right too but I think it's a long shot...Maybe Quinn will win them some games, especially at home...I'm just hoping Jamarcus Russell can infuse some life into Oakland...Atlanta is a worry too as they look to be sinking as fast as Cleveland.

As for Bayless, can't stand him but that's his 'thing'...I think he makes a concerted effort to go against the grain simply to generate interest/controversy.

I can't think of much of anything that he has ever said that has been insightful, he's a part of the media that falls under the category of blowhards.

I suppose it would be nice to have the #1 pick but if you look at what Russell just got paid, its kind of scary to guarantee an unproven rookie $30 million plus and that doesn't even include base salaries. If it happens, I think I'd like to trade down and pick up additional first day picks.

It's hard to believe Skip Sayless is on someone's payroll. I bet he cried watching Romo pass for 4 TDs and run for one more. He had said that Romo was just a guy. Although the jury is still out, I'd say we have a better than average QB who might just be something special. So Mr. Sayless doesn't have a clue. But I hope he's right about Cleveland.:D

I wonder if that kind of money only applies to QBs who are the top pick. Either way, you might be right about trading down. We've got to hit big with the Cleveland deal. We won't be able to live down a mistake there.

I'm crossing my fingers that "The Comish" pushes through some sort of meaningful cap on rookie salaries instead of what we have now. With 2-1st round picks, it would be a great help to us.

Calvin Johnson recieved a 27 mil SB. so there goes that theory, next year the #1 might get 35 mil SB

Thats if he can stay off his back. The Browns were sacked six times last week.

I hear commentators saying the only chance the Browns have is if they start Quinn. Baloney.

Elway, Peyton and Aikman all had terrible seasons their first year. And Quinn is nowhere near those QBs.

Beyond that, Jamal Lewis is slow and the defense is having trouble.

I say if they insert Quinn in as starter they go 1-15. Heck, Derek Anderson gives them a better chance of winning and possibly going 5-11. But I think the Browns will buckle to the pressure of starting Quinn and promptly throw their season so he can be prepared for 2008.
