I wonder if some teams will end up reaching more than normal?

In the Cowboys case, the only "holes" on the team are at RT and FS. Sure, there are other spots that can be upgraded, of course. And it also depends what the team decides with the DEs, Sensy, and Kosier.

But for teams that need a QB, for example, if FA occurs after the Draft, some teams could easily reach for guys thinking they may not have the ability to get a guy like Kolb, for example.

I think could potentially lead to some surprise picks, especially in the first 2-3 rounds.

I've actually been thinking of this also. If you don't know what FAs you have, it does make it more difficult to go with the BPA. Teams with few holes to start with, will have an advantage in that situation.

Since we don't know if we can get a RT or FS in free agency before the draft, how can we just go BPA ourselves. Also it could drive up the price of a FA if a few teams don't get what they want/need in the draft and get desperate in free agency.

Should make the draft interesting to say the least.

very well said . allot of fans seem to think we need 10 new starters THIS year which is really not the case . this was a "potential" super bowl team going into last year the coaching changes we made as well as getting some guy's healthy should mean a few wins alone.
