Wasn't the word that the Cowboys had to come away with two starters to make a successful draft? right JJT?

There's one. At a revolving door position last year. If they grab a guard at 47 who can step right in, how can you complain?

I made myself feel better already.

I think three starters is the goal given where the team is. That may be unrealistic. Gosslin even said it needed tube 4 starters today in the paper.
I do think they got one today, just wish the would have gotten him later

I agree that we need to come out with at least 2 starters. 3 would be nice, 4 is probably a reach.

Center, Guard, Safety, Tackle. That being said, I don't think it'll shake out like that.

I agree. That should be one of them. because Jerry thinks we are set at DT, I would say we get one more at Safety and we either get a tackle or sign one after the draft. I would love to still see another guard, but I would be shocked to see then take another lineman as they are not flashy.

Grab any guard and safety tomorrow. Boom, three starters.

I agree, Cyprien, Thomas or Swearinger.

Winters, Quessenberry, Warford or even Jones

This. Give me Warford and a Safety and I am a happy guy. Sign Clabo or Winston as well and let's go kick some arse!

Yes but a starter by default just because his competition is downright horrible i.e. Costa does not really say much.

Kid is going to do his job. He is a really good blocker.

During the press conference, they said Callahan had been up there working out Frederick and spent a lot of time with him. They also said Callahan had worked up there and had a lot of connections, so he had some good sources, even interviewing other players who played on his team.

They also said he got his engineering degree in three years, so he really was finished with school after his junior year of eligibility. He isn't leaving early.

I've watched three games of his tonigh on Youtube and I'm impressed. He's a rock in pass protection and in spite of his 40 time he has plenty of quickness to get to the second level.

Damontre Moore, Jordan Hill, and Bennie Logan are three defensive linemen they brought in for visits who are still available. Hill maybe too small for us but Logan could at least be an immediate rotation player at DT if not starting.

I agree 100% with you. People mentioned how he was getting abused and stumbling all over on film, so I watched said film and saw something entirely different... Dude is one hell of a blocker...

First rounders are expected to start in their rookie year. But where is the upside with this player?

I was silently rooting to draft Frederick but it appeared that Dallas was going to a more zone blocking scheme with smaller linemen. However, that's not a Bill Callahan type of offensive lineman. He tends to have big linemen who can move a little but who can road grade as well. Frederick is perfect for it.

Frederick definately shows us that we won't be running some Mike Shannahan style of zone blocking.

The upside is we have a center that can do his job finally. I am so sick of seeing center pushed back in to Romo's lap. I am excited to see a center that can actually block the guy in front of him in the run game...

I think the upside is an offensive lineman who keeps defenders out of Romo's face and can open a hole for running game.

One scouting report in particular noted that Frederick is has the size, strength, and quickness to handle nose tackles by himself. Assuming we play him at center, with all the 3-4 teams in the league, having a center who can handle the nose tackle one on one is a huge benefit.

No way he doesn't.

Jeesh, the thought of drafting an OL in the 1st round who couldn't beat out one of the many duds across this line.........talk about sickening.
