Then all we have to do is beat the Giants once in either try and get in.

The Giants would have to lose to GB too. And the eagles would have to lose two more.

if we win at AZ, and the giants lose the next two and then to us, what would our magic number be?

Depends on the Eagles but the Giamts would be eliminated as far as winning the east goes.

Breakdown

We beat Arizona, Tampa Bay, and the Giants at least once.

Giants lose to either Green Bay or New Orleans

Eagles lose to the Patriots, but win out.

THEN we're in the playoffs.

10-6 almost ensures us the division.

If we were to drop the rest of our division games, we would need both the Giants and Eagles to lose more games then the ones that they should lose.

I would hope the team has the mentality that they just need to keep winning and let the rest work itself out.

Random thought.

If San Fran loses tonight, they still have Pittsburgh on the schedule, and if one of their division rivals pulls an upset...

Dallas could take the #2 seed.

Not likely, but there's still a chance.

The way that we have been playing the last two weeks, I just want to get by AZ. Anything else that happens with other teams, if it falls our way is just gravy.

It's possible. Dallas holds the tiebreaker with San Francisco, so a loss tonight puts them only two games ahead.

Your math is a bit off. 2 more wins puts us at 9-7 and that is no guarantee of in at all.

Dallas is going to have all they can do to win next week in Arizona where Dallas always has problems, and I wouldn't worry about the playoffs, dallas will probably be one and done in them anyway, their defense just isn't good enough this year...

New Orleans is also ahead of us.

Sorry you're right I was assuming a week sixteen Giants loss to the Jets and a loss by this Eagles this week against the Pats.

Dallas needs to beat Arizona and get some serious revenge for the last two trips in there. They need to beat the Giants and beat Tampa Bay. If they do that, they could win the East before the boogie man comes to town, and I'm talking about the Eagles. That is the safest path to the East. Keep winning.

Dallas controls its own destiny, and they need to keep winning.

Losing to Arizona is not an option, imo.

Beat the Cardinals!
