Crayton will be No. 2 for sure with Hurd coming in as the 3rd WR. Against the Giants, I think we can be real successful with this crew. I really don't see the Giants covering us at all. Again, BIG day for Romo, Witten, and TO...

Glenn's practicing, whats the point?

cause he's still listed 50/50? so there's a 50% change he will start, and 50% he won't.

also - look at glenns history. w/o parcells as his coach he's one injury prone player, it seems. my overall impression is the years he's had parcells as a coach he's done well. if parcells is not his coach, he's hurt a lot. could be i'm wrong, could be something to consider. but given:

1) his overall history of injuries
2) his age

it's *ok* to wonder if he'll make it through the year. if we see more hurd/crayton then maybe we'll know if we need to draft a WR high or if we have one in house.

Gotta go Crayton. I think it will be sort of a "committee" approach there, but I think Crayton will see the majority of the snaps.

A few things...

First off, the question pertains to should Glenn miss time this upcoming season. I find it odd you would ask such a question, given your opinion on someone asking who we should draft next year. Other than time frame, I see very little difference in the queries, as they are both dependant on possibilities that have yet to have happened.

My answer to the question was Crayton, because that's who I think will move in at #2. This is different than who I would like to step in at #2....and that would be Hurd. My reasoning would be why patch one spot by making 2 moves?

This is, as you say, a season to find out about the crop of WRs we have...playing Hurd (or others) at the position they supposedly eventually will fill will go a long way in answering that.

I will also remind everyone...(since we're playing the should game)that the pick last year should have been Santonio Holmes as I had pleaded for. We wouldn't be having this discussion had we done so...or any converation involving a solid PR.

Crayton can play.

There is a good chance that this guy could start on many NFL teams. We havn't seen enough yet to say this for certain, but from what we have seen, he looks pretty good.

I didnt get any realsense in Pre, but I think its Crayton. Only a really dumb coach would start Hurd just to keep Crayton in a more "comfortable" role. Who would do something so conservative?

Crayton for now ...... but I think Hurd will eventually replace him as our 3rd guy

Hurd has started for us when Glenn missed the game in Arizona (?) last year. If its short term, I think we'd be fine with Hurd as the #2 and let Crayton continue to work the slot.

Long term; Crayton (but Glenn shouldn't be out long term).
