what the heck? Goodell is the PR arm of the ownership group. He does what the league owners want him to do, not in spite of what they want him to do.

The owners have a great thing going, because all the dolts out their don't seem to understand this basic fact so the owners have a convenient scapegoat. Why would they want to remove their scapegoat?
