If I was Romo's Agent

I would demand as much guaranteed money as possible. That way Jerry will be forced to improve the line in order to protect his already paid for investment.

The idea is for the agent to get as much guaranteed as possible anyway.

That's one reason why Brady's contract is much more valuable than it appears to some out there.

But you can be sure the oline will at least be part of the discussion.

I think the opposite. He should hold out until he improves offensive line. If not then he should retire because he's going to get killed

And if I were the cowboys, I'd say play out your contract and prove you're worthy of a new contract, 6-10, 8-8, 8-8 doesn't cut it...and if he has another 8-8 record or worse, time to move on from Romo, 34 plus year old quarterbacks aren't leading you to a Superbowl.,..

They would just trade him if he will not play...which could be better for him OR it could be worse.

"MR Jones, my client loves the Cowboys and wants to stay. But unless you sign in blood that you are going to improve the O line by getting BETTER players then the stiffs you have right now forget any contract."

Poor Jerry.
He's probably so constipated at this point his eyes are turning brown. Stephen had to hide the checkbook so he cannot pay anyone to play which means he cannot get media face time and attention about his great team. And one of the causes is because his beloved boy Romo has not agreed to a restructured contract. Lastly he has no one to blame but himself so he just has to sit there and stew while all the other teams are making headlines and taking the attention from his ticket sales and his "window just keeps closing".
Not the type of day JJ likes to have but ultimately it's probably for the best.
