If I'm Philly, I'm not looking to embarrass Garrett

If I'm them I want to play a close game. Not let them win or anything, but the last thing I want to do is embarrass Garrett to the point that he could be pushed out. The worst thing that could happen to the Eagles is a competent head coach in Dallas...

Dude, this is the NFL, PHL better bring their A game.

I'm confused by this.....when I think embarrassment, I think blowout. Sooo you're saying they should not blow them out but instead.....but keep the score margin not as.....embarassing? And hope a comeback doesn't happen...Whut?

This! Is the OP trying to say beat the boys but not kill them hoping old bogger brings the clapping carrot back next year? Please I am hoping for another 44-6 thumping then.

If I am Philly I would do everything possible to beat Dallas as badly as possible. You can't play games thinking about what another organization is going to do with their coaching situation. Besides, with Jerry's history of hiring head coaches why would they be concerned.

Won’t matter if Garrett is ushered out the door. The Joneses still run the team. Yaaay!

1) philly hasn’t been sharp so if they get a chance to “work on things”, it won’t matter if they are up by 20, they will work for 30
2) Washington gonna win, philly takes no chances
3) philly may not have a chance to ease up as Dallas could may just continue to turn the ball over

Embarrass away, I’m numb

Well they can probably figure that JG will somehow find a way to blow a close game. lol
I think he plays too conservatively to be the coach of Dallas. It seems like everyone is doing a great job taking chances. I mean NFL careers are short so why spend time being too careful?

Good coaches put the pedal to the metal. They put their foot on your throat and press hard. Pederson will show the cowboys no mercy.

Just look what Tennessee did to Pretty Boy today. There coach has made them a different team, hopefully bogger is keeping notes.

Please show me in the OP where I said keep the game close. I said play to win, but don't embarrass him. I love strawman arguments.

I love how you think a team can just cover whatever number they want.

If there is an opportunity to score they will take it no matter what the score is.

If Eagles were to go that route they'd just embarass him by accident.

47 year old Jerry hired Jimmy Johnson.

65 year old Jerry hired Jason Garrett.

I'd think the Eagles would welcome seeing who 76 year old Jerry would hire.

With the Skins winning today. The last thing Philly needs to do is keep the game close enough where a few big plays by the Cowboys could end up losing Philly the game. They need a win tonight or they will be two games behind. The best way they will ensure a win is by beating the Cowboys big enough where a win isn't even in question by the 4th quarter. Plus also there is still the wild card if they can't catch the Skins. Philly needs every win for both division and wild card contention and can't afford to keep the game close on purpose.

If I am Philly's event staff, I lock Garrett in the bathroom so the DC fans do not have to see his face on the sideline. There I fixed it.
