If McCarthy calls the plays, who will take the blame if the offense fails?

Not sure how much input or blame/credit a new OC will get if McCarthy calls the plays himself.

I think if this team doesn’t go NFC title game look elsewhere . That would be 4 yrs . Unless just making the playoffs and division round exits are acceptable.

I think Jerry no longer has that much affiliation to Dak, based on the fact he let Moore, who wanted out, go with 1 year left and not renewing any of the expiring contracts, particularly Philbin, who is a right-hand of MM. It seems like they are just making decisions short-term and the big decisions will come after next year. Jerry basically said the problem against the 49ers was QB play.

Not the first time he didn’t get what he paid for.

He should probably make this a topic during one of his “hard looks in the mirror,” self assessments……only to conclude that he is still great and to keep doing what he has been doing.

And him calling plays I guess he’s so frustrated with KM after 3 yrs he’s had enough , Not sure what an “ OC “ means if the HC is the play caller .

This a classic case of stating one thing, and after several people hear it, see how different the original statement was when it gets back to you

However, to be fair, MM did say he used the time off to study more of the analytical approaches and updates to league-wide schemes.
McCarthy is plenty smart though.

I'll go with Rowdy as this year's pre-determined scapegoat winner.
They have blamed practically everyone and everything else. They're kinda running out of options.

Well I mean, except on SleepNumber where the blame actually lies.
But yeah, that would be like some alternate reality type stuff if the truth were to genuinely be considered for once. So I don't expect it to happen.

If MM fails we get KM to return to Dallas on a 10 minute contract so we can fire him again.
