I dont hate it, I just dont love it. I value production over measureables. That is not to say he couldnt become very productive. Would need to see what the alternatives are when they are on the clock.
this is a problem with most Georgia players, its a mjor projection on their prospects in the NFL as they were heavily rotated in college.Smith was also injured so he has further mitigating circumstances.

In his last full season Will Anderson had around 350 more snaps than…350.

Just have to understand the rotation and how the numbers coorelate. His pass rush win rate was through the roof.

I think first pick is Will McDonald unless someone falls to us.
I get the same feeling too. I think JSN is the only receiver worth taking, and he will be gone, I don't think Nolan Smith will be there, and I just can't see the team going TE in 1. To me, it's either an OL or DE, and McDonald seems most likely to be there/fits what we're looking for.

We’re going to have to deal with prime Jalen Hurts for the next 7+ years, so having three 4.3-4.4 Edge/LB’s would be nice

Smith is easily better than Kincaid, Robinson, and JSN. I don't really see either of the receivers as game-changing talents, and Robinson plays too low-value of a position to be a game changer. Smith could be a Von Miller, Parsons sort of defender.

He won't go as high as either because he doesn't have their track record of production, but the tools are there. In my book, he is edge #2 behind Will Anderson. Speaking of track record of production...
That part scares me. Tools players often don't every produce at the level they should.

Dude has great measurables at a position that isn't a need. Do you pass on him in favor of a Kincaid, Robinson or JSN?
Depends on the Cowboys draft board. It really comes down to that. The highest guy on your board is the pick unless it's a tie.

Picking for needs is a huge mistake.

Definitely YES on Smith if he falls to 26. Much like Will Anderson, or Tyree Wilson........if they end up there for any reason, you don't question, you just take them and find a place for them.
