If only Turpin goes outside

I thought I was finally going to see him take one back, and what a time for it too. If only he went outside where nobody would have touched him, instead of inside where the last man to beat was - the kicker. I realize that must happen so fast and you have a split second to decide- but oh so close.
Ive been hearing about him taking one back in an exhibition game this year. I don't ever watch exhibition games, to me they are glorified practices and few people play their regulars anyway. Plus they don't count. So I missed him doing that back then and have been waiting for him to break one all year. So so close. What a difference in a close game that would have been.

Iv noticed alot this season that he favours the middle, guessing the return is set up that way with blockers but there does seem to be space outside on them returns. He's been unlucky on a few to be fair to him

It was like he's too fast to process what he sees. Maybe that's why he was maxed out as an USFL player till the Jones boys thought they found someone.

He tends to run too fast at times, and he can't cut. But he was good yesterday.

It looks like he thought the last blocker was too far outside. Hed have to flatten his angle out too much to get past him which you dont normally want to do.

I'm still trying to understand how Turpin didn't score. Go either outside or inside and it's a walk off TD. Instead he ran to the traffic and got tackled. I would love for someone to ask him what he was thinking.

He wasn't. He choked like a lot of the Cowboys do every year.

I thought he should have cut it back sooner. The middle of the field was wide open. He waited too long to cut.

It was almost like he wanted to make contact.

If he cuts outside he probably gets another 20 yards but he would have needed to slow down and literally make a right turn, not just angle to the right so he wouldn't have scored. It would have given the guys behind him a chance to catch up.

Yeah, I saw that.......all he had to do was cut it outside and he avoids the kicker. He reminds me of a 4 year old running. The faster he goes the worse the balance gets.
