The fact is, there's no guarantee he will play and even less of a guarantee he'll be effective. I want to look at the glass as half full like everyone does, but high ankle sprains dont really give you an exact recovery date. I just hope his fast healing history will come thru.

Didn't Aikman win a playoff game without Irvin once? Philly doesn't have good receivers but they can win. One thing I don't think we do enough is use MB3 as a receiver. He catches balls pretty good for a RB.

Yeah plus one thing that did make me feel better was laufenberg breaking down the game film of the skins game and the cowboys had alot of opportunities and for some reason romo didnt throw the ball down the field, instead checking down.

on the play where crayton caught that little 5 yard slant and the ball was tipped up by torrance and he caught it again, on the other side smoot and landry had completely blown the coverage and hurd/austin cant remember which were just running down the sideline all alone.

There are still plays to be made, and I think we are going to see a sharp team on both sides of the ball on sunday.

Statistics or numbers at the end of the game are just what they are, numbers on paper. Owens being on the field changes the defensive scheme like nothing else. He constantly draws a double team. Making the running game better without allowing the defense to stack 8 men in the box. Making Witten better without a double team and making the 2nd receiver and 3rd receiver better without coverage rolled towards them. The NFL is a game of double teams and matchups. Without Owens, they can single up against our weak 2nd and 3rd receivers and put 8 men in the box to stop the run.
