You think he would go in as a Cowboy where it seems he has been at his best and happiest in his career. Sort of a thank you to Jerry Jones for taking a chance or would go in as a 49er where he broke into the league and developed or less likely as an Eagles?

well seeing as he will win his first superbowl in dallas he will most likely go in as a cowboy.

I have no doubts that he goes into the HOF, it's a no-brainer to me and I think he goes in as a Cowboy as long as he is around for a few more years which I fully expect him to be. he's having his best ever year here, he's happier here than anywhere else and if he leads us to the superbowl then I think he goes in as a Cowboy.

he will be a HOF-er....no doubt.

he has said he wants to go in as a cowboy, so unless he changes his mind, that's what i anticipate. i see him playing here another 2-3 years easy.

When you go into the HOF, it isn't exclusive to one team. You go in as a player, representive of all the teams you played for. he would go in a eagle, 49er and a cowboy

Blasphemy! Never associate anything Cowboy with Eagle.

Dargonking is correct -- you don't go into the Pro Football Hall of Fame "as" a member of any particular team, so it's not even an issue.

In baseball, it's different -- mostly because youre wearing a cap on your plaque.

I have a question for you Adam....

When Aikman retired... I believe he said "Today I retire from the National Football League".... not "Today I retire from the Dallas Cowboys".... was he thinking more along the lines of the HOF way or ?

Troy was released from the Cowboys in 2001. He looked for another team to sign with(I remember KC as a possibility. That ended when they traded for Trent Green). When there were no starting spots available, he hung up the cleats.

Yeah I remember that... but why didnt he go the "sign with the Cowboys for a day" to retire a Cowboy....

Just curious....

I don't doubt that he would go in the HOF, and don't doubt that he'd go in as a Cowboy, in fact I wouldn't be surprised that Ray Sherman would be his spokesperson, or whatever they call it

only comp I can see is the 9ers and Steve Young, I think TO really respected Young

Because he never played for another team. :banghead:

Think about it.. why would he sign with the Cowboys for a day when.. he was never anything else but a Cowboys?

How come other players don't always do that. Like Charles Haley, or Neon Deon? Hope Haley doesn't consider himself more a 49er than a Cowboy.

I hate to say it but I think the cause of T.O. being so quite this year is because we are winning. If we were 8-4 I think we'd have a different T.O. on our hands. None the less, he is a hall of fame type player..with or without the mouth.

I'm sure he does consider himself a 49er. He played for them first and he played for them last. He was never more than a hired gun for the Cowboys.

I think what they mean is when they are presented with their ring and what not where will it be? Philly, San Fran, Dallas.
