hey, guys i know this probably wont have any bearing on the case between pacman and the nfl commissioner goodell, but what do you guys think;

say it is announced yesterday like rotoworld is saying, and pacman was traded to the cowboys for a 5th round draft choice, so all of us cowboy fans get a ballot signed by all cowboy fans to send to the commissioner, to let pacman get to start training, working out with cowboy players, etc, now and work with calvin hill and michael irvin etc,

remember tank johnson wasnt allowed to work out with cowboys till 8th game etc, so i was thinking if trade is accurate and pacman is now propety of the dallas cowboys, if we can get pacman in dallas, work out with the players, get counseling from calvin hill, michael irvin etc, then he can really help us, got to remember pacman has been out of football for over a year now, so he is alittle rusty, so quicker he can work out at valley ranch etc, faster he gets in shape, learns play book and work in offseason drills, schemes, etc,

i agree with that, but say you get 300 signartures on the ballot, or even more, he has to take notice,

he did say, he wants to make the NFL more enjoyable for fans, etc, so thats one way to let him know what cowboys fans, want, and if pacman is following guidelines, etc, then why not

He wouldn't even look at it. It's not like he cares what the Cowboys fans think he should do with Pacman.

It sounds great and if you set up a website to gather sigs I'll put mine on it. But to be honest, I don't think Goodell gives a hoot about what all of us think.

I admire what you are trying to say here. Still, I highly doubt the Commissioner of the NFL would really put to much into what a couple thousand Dallas Cowboys fans thought regarding getting Adam Jones into physical shape before training camp. Adam Jones is fortunate that it looks like the Commissioner will give him his last chance and that Dallas is a team willing to offer him that opportunity as well.

Goodell has the entire leagues image to be responsible for. I think he is handling the Adam Jones situation very well actually.

Such a thing in the eyes of the NFL? Fart in the wind.

It's not that the NFL doesn't care and wouldn't listen. It's that we as fans would have no credibility on the issue. Who here knows Jones and can attest that he's a changed man, ready to do good and behave himself off the field? It's entirely self serving to make such a request. Of course we think he's going to do better and should be reinstated, he's (allegedly) on our team now. If he was a still a Titan, no one on this site would care if he was reinstated or not. Goodell is well aware of this.

while we're at it...
let's write a letter to the governor to pardon all death row inmates, abolish the child molestor registry and give all ex-cons a tax break.

That dude and his crew would rob you and your family at gun point if the opportunity arrose. And you want to write an endorsement letter to the only person holding him accountable in this world for his actions so he can play a game for a living and earn more money for it than you will see in a lifetime.

It's just football.

Couldn't help but smile and laugh. It's extreme but I found it really funny. Good stuff.

no he doesn't. anymore than we have to take notice of another pac man thread cause 6 wasn't enough. : )

seriously though - 300 names? even 500? 1000? he won't care. why should he?

let pacman do his time and let's try a little patience.

By your cold, cynical reasoning our votes to elect our representatives in Austin and in Washington don't count compared to influence by lobbyists and their money. . . oh, yes, I forgot, our votes do not count. Sorry, Slushy.

And good luck on the draft podcast! Good Zone lineup to represent us!

it was fun and i had a great time - learned a lot about some players i've never heard of?

as for the petition - 70,000 fans can get into texas stadium. 1% of those signatures isn't going to get pacman reinstated. hell, even 70,000. there may be those who'd pay attention but hitler-goodell doesn't seem to be one of them. has he crushed to intense media pressure for spygate?

not at all. he's just gotten more stubborn in it. his nature.

send him 10,000 people telling him he needs to do something he's likely not do it just to show 10,000 people he's not going to back down.

I wonder how big the ballot turn out for the "Commissioner, Please Kick PacMan out of the league" response might be from the rest of the league?
