If Parcells doesn't let our 1st team offense play 3 quarters were in trouble

Bledsoe and Keyshawn especially need to get some plays down.

We haven't passed at all so far in the preseason, and Glenn and Johnson really haven't done anything. I think we need to establish consistency in our first team offense going into the season.

I don't want to see Glenn, Jones, or Witten play the 3rd quarter but our offensive linemen (sans rivera), bledsoe, and johnson need to play into the 3rd quarter.

IMO they'll play at least the first half, longer if they don't look sharp.

What if a starter gets hurt?

they will replace him with another player. :D

he'll play them probably the first half or 30-40 plays.

Whats more important than evaluating our running backs, is establishing a passing game.

A starter could get hurt on the first play of the game.

We need the offensive starters to play up until a couple of series into the 3rd quarter. Bledsoe needs to throw the ball more this game. JJ needs to get a quarter and a half of action, then put in the A-Train until the end of the 2nd quarter. Start Tyson Thompson with the first team offense in the 3rd quarter on.
I would play Witten 2 quarters only. I would play Glenn 2 quarters and Keyshawn up until when Bledsoe's done.

I would play Petitti the first half, and Tucker the second. I would play Polite and the rest of the O-Line until Bledsoe leaves.

Defense, I would play Ware the entire game, but keep him at OLB most of the game unlike he did with Seattle. Ware played 3-4 olb in the 1st half and DL the second mostly. I would play Glover 1 1/2 quarters (We know what he can do) I would play the rest of the starting "D" into the 1st series of the 3rd quarter mixing in Beriault on the 1st team FS spot just a little.

I would give Newman atleast 2 opportunities to field punts, but no more. I would also start Burnett on defense this game. This game I would try to match up on Defense more since last week we stayed in a 3-4 set even when Seattle put in 3 and 4 receivers, just to see what a real game defense will be like.

I know it's only a preseason game, and that preseason games don't count, but it might be best to let your first stringers play the whole game. I figure that the only way the Cowboys have much of a chance to come out of the game without looking too pitifull. Don't worry about your backups, nobody else is.

Living in Houston I would love nothing more than to see Dallas win the game but getting ready for the reg season is top priority and I expect Parcells to do what he feels is best for this team. I still hope to see Dallas win just not at all cost

Most likely they play the first half plus one series in the 3rd quarter, so you get to apply halftime adjustments.

Its kinda hard to make halftime adjustments with only one series isnt it?

No, it's not.

Something was not working the way you wanted, you go in and say we will do this and you come out and do it.

It's a practice game, so you practice what you would do in a regular season game.

The 3rd preseason game is traditionally the big game of preseason. most coaches will actually game plan for it. i would expect to see the starting offense and defense for the entire first half at least.

What a troll. Come back here when your team actually does something.

Try putting atleast 1 skin on the wall before you step in here. Houston has done what in football?

You guys have to realize, it's the pre-season and we're two weeks away from a brutal, 16 week season. I say play 'em the first and second quarters, and only a nominal start in the 4th pre-season game.
