or

C) Todd Bowles.

A isn't a stretch. B is out of the question. C is the credited answer.

I just got a sharp pain in my brain... so Bill will be looking for more of the same? :banghead: If he is here next year he wont want a major change at the D-Coord position.. so he will just have Bowles do the same as Zim.

It is going to be HILARIOUS when this happens, and the same hand-wringing and wallowing in ashes as when Saunders was hired goes on.

I can't wait. :D

Then, when our defense allows 100 less points next year.....

We should be so lucky to have Dick LeBeau. He is a proven 3-4 style coordinator and could do great things for this team...provided Parcells could keep the hell out of his hair.

Virginia, the school which Canty was drafted from, and one of the selling points drafting him was the 3-4, runs it

Groh coaches Virginia, and is a Parcells' disciple

so yes, he has quite the 3-4 experience

We have no way of telling whether Bowles would be more of the same or bring a different style or anything. The guy could be a defensive genius for all we know.

LeBeau would be GREAT, but isn't he still the DC in Pittsburgh?

I can only say...... I hope you are right.... AND I hope the players get those hats on the heads and take care of THEIR ASSIGNMENTS a little better than they did this year

Yep. I don't know why some think he's leaving. All the Pittsburgh articles I've seen suggest he's absolutely staying there. They're expected to hire from within so the "new" coach shouldn't object.

Al Groh has too sweet of a deal at UVA to leave. He just recently(summer of 2005..I think) signed an extension for over 2 million a year.

He is actually on pretty thin ice in Virginia, and could be on his way out.

He's definately on thin ice (most of the alums I know hate the 3/4 defense and want him and his son(Mike- OC) but they don't want to buy him out. He would be crazy to leave for Dallas(IMO)
