I agree but that’s not what I said in my post. You only Assumed it. I said I take the best five players. That doesn’t mean the top five. There is a difference. Everyone has their own opinion on who the best five are . And that was my point my cowboy brother. I’d like the middle linebacker . Before he’s gone he’ll be my first pick. Then a corner then I left tackle . Defensive tackle. And then whoever was most worthy left. The best football player. Not the best talent. And that’s a difference also

Btw, looking at the draft chart it will take more than a 3rd. Either a 1st and 2nd or a 1st, 3rd and 4th.

I said. if Denver is looking to draft a quarterback. They lose nothing by moving from 9 to 12.

I'm also not sure what chart you're looking at. It's 150 points to move up from 12 to 9.

If the tight end falls to number 10 . I personally would do , whatever I had to do. To trade right back up in the first round to get one of the best corners. Next year’s first round and Gallup. And possibly maybe a second and . ? Yes I would give the farm away just like I was getting a quarterback.

im sorry but most expert evaluators say that Horn, Surtain, Farley and Parsons are NOT A REACH at 10..just because fans dont see it doesnt make it true..they are all worth a pick at 10 if you ask many experts,.,so you take who you believe improves your team , Pitts is not a big enough improvement as he will take balls away from Gallup, Jarwin and Shultz so hes adding talent to an already talented group that only so many balls go around and that means more trades ie move gallup cut shultz or Jarwin etc etc

So you must switch to BPA ON Defense. If you can trade down a few spots still get one of those 4 guy's then do so but its not reach to take any of those 4 at 10, its been discussed..sure BPA would most likely on offense but the only goal to improve the team and most of that is on defense, period..

there are also a lot of experts who don't rank them that high. its the draft. everyone will have an opinion. my opinions are based on many articles, evaluations, etc. I read on these players. its not personal, nor have I seen them play. so its somewhat of a consensus. of those listed, Surtain is the safest bet at 10. although his ceiling is not as high, but his floor is higher than the rest.

the reason I say pitts, is that he is evaluated as a generational TE. think Kelce, Gronk, Kittle. and I rather hit on a player in the first, which is a must for us. I think Pitts can make a difference and given this draft is deep in secondary, then we can nab a CB in the second, with slight drop off. the DT class is deep in middle level players, so one can be had in the 3rd. Parsons to me is a boom or bust. measurables are great. production in college is just one year and he is recently converted to LB and has limited experience and he missed 2020.

I think if we land Pitts, we can then trade Schultz and recover a pick either in 2021 or 2022.

if Pitts is ranked higher than any defensive player at 10, you don't reach for a defensive player because you are desparate, you take him. we have 9 other picks in this draft.

also, there are only two offensive players I would consider in the first, Pitts and Sewell. if neither is there, then Surtain (surest thing among the defensive players).

If pitts turns this offense into the chiefs then I’m all for taking him. No granted dam isn’t Mahomes..... but we’d sure as hell score a lot of points.

If you can build an explosive offense abs have a defense in the 15-20 range that causes turnovers we can win games.

The problem I have with this type of thinking and I think it’s the same thing I think the Cowboys are thinking. But see this type of thinking is how teams pass up Aaron Donald, JJ Watt, etc....hell even TJ Watt. These guys aren’t going to come in superstars. Pitts is a star already so I get the attraction to his game....but that does not mean that one of these defensive guys can’t be stars. You don’t see it in the combine or pro days.

I remember when Revis Island and Nnamdi Asomugha came out of the draft. You know how many people had them being stars? Not many. A star isn’t gonna come in already made for you. You gotta develop him into one.
