His best chance is with Dallas. Baltimore lags behind the Pats/Steelers/Colts and I say they are 50/50 with the Titans/Chargers. Jets are a few years away, so unless they offer the world no way in hell does he sign there. Dallas, if we can get our locker room straight and have a little luck with less injuries can beat any NFC team any given Sunday. Hell, we'll favorites to win the NFC in 2009 after this pathtic season. So Ray has to ask himself, does he want a ring or does he want a payday.

I think he takes the payday and stays in Baltimore, but I would welcome him here.

I meant if he wanted to win another one. I realize that Baltimore won two playoff games but I think the whole AFC landscape is different with a healthy Tom Brady. No way Miami wins the East which means they are not in the playoffs.

To me winning playoffs doesn't mean squat. You train and prepare to win championships anything less means your not the best.

All this media talk about it's been 12 years since Dallas won a playoff game. Who cares, when is the last time SF or Miami or Oakland or Philly or Chicago won a Super Bowl. Winning the Super Bowl is all that matters in professional football. Period.

true but you need to win a playoff game to do this...

If Dallas had won a playoff game every year for the last 12, posters would still be complaining just as loud.

I dare say they would be even MORE frustrated...

I wonder what would cost more, signing Ray Lewis, or trading up for Rey Maualuga?

As others have said... he has a better chance in Bmore then here at the moment. You gotta lotta "ifs" going on... that have a higher probablity of not coming to fruition.

I'd say if Ray wants to play here it would be as good a choice as Baltimore. Last year is last year. The problem is money. Gotta clear up Canty et al before thinking about an expensive ILB. Not to put a damper on things but Ray doesn't like the 3-4 as well. A big NT is necessary to help clog the front enough for the LBs to make plays. Ratliff is more necessary but when teams start attacking the middle you have to have an answer or they will stay at it all day long until you find one.

Personally I'd rather find a young ILB to play that position but a year of an experienced LB would be helpful IMO. Again money.
