Somewhat agree but in some of those cases teams have just used high picks to draft a QB which is why I did not add Miami or Cinn. Also teams like NY or Arz who will now enter their 2nd season with young QB that they drafted high.
This is about the most idiotic and dak dysfunctional syndrome driven question I've seen posed on this forum.. Get help...In an absolutely impossible scenario, but I CAN DREAM can I? If Dak gets released will be be the absolute starter in any other team?
What are your thoughts?
Sadly, I think that Dak is a very good BACKUP.
Does the MAJORITY of you guys here think of believe that:
Dak > Carson Wentz?
Dak > Goff ?
probably but the statement asked if he could start anywhere if releasedHe’s going to be starting for the Cowboys
I agree, with your take on Dak, he's not a HOF QB but he's not a nobody either. That's completely fair.
He has had his own set of issues to deal with in Dallas but there again, if you have a competent staff, is Dak even named starter in his Rookie year? Would he be a starter now? Would he be evaluated as the best possible solution for us at QB? Would he have already won a Super Bowl? Just too many factors involved there, to know for sure.
Actually, and I'm all for letting Dak walk away if he wants too much or we can land 1st Round picks:
given his career trajectory to date the HOF is WELL within his reach if he maintains his level of play.
I don't agree there. Way too early to even kinda start talking about the Hall. Dak takes a lot of hits. In the space of a couple of three or four more seasons, two things will definitely happen. One, injuries will catch up to him and he won't be able to do the same kinds of things he's doing now so unless he becomes a much, much better passing QB, I doubt he will sustain. Also, we are going to lose players, the window will eventually close and at that point, things will become much, much tougher for Dak in Dallas. He's going to need to win a few championships over the next few years if he wants a real shot at the HOF IMO.
Is that possible!?This is actually a pretty crappy thread. I think I'm going to bench myself for a minute.
Exactly, which cuts into Dak's value despite the fact he could "start" for the team if given an open competition.
So if he's mid tier QB (I lean to his upper mid-tier), asking Prescott to accept a contract in the Wentz range is absolutely reasonable given that he cannot expect to start for almost 2/3 of the NFL franchises.
Exactly what value does he think he has vs what was offered?
Valid criticism isn't hate.People on here hate the kid, for who knows what reason.
Each year the price tags increase as does the cap. I don't think Wilson is the best QB in the NFL so why is he paid as the best? As the cap rises so do contract demands. In the end I don't know what the final contract will look like, I do know what looks to be big this year will look close to avg within the next year to 2 years out. Jimmy G contract went from the highest in the NFL at 27 mill to now the 10th highest paid. If Jimmy G was a FA this year he would be asking for more than 27
Dak is a top 5 starter in the league, so yea you’re technically right - he would be a phenomenal backup.
I know a lot of people don't like stats. There are a lot of variables, I get it. However Dak's QBR for the 2019 season was 70.2. We have to have some gage by other than intangibles, which again is off the chart for this guy.I agree with you. I just think we deserve a better QB and that he is not realizing that he is an AVERAGE QB AND INSTEAD is asking for money that he is not worth
Name em’TOP 5.. i RESPECTFULLY DISAGREE
