It is no secret I am a Romo supporter. But for what we like to do on offense, Romo no longer has the arm for it. I believe his offseason back surgery was more serious than this team is letting on. INTs happen....but at least the pick while trying to get the ball to Miles was the right play. More concerning to me was how many times he under threw Dez....he completes those and we win this game. Does the defense need to be better? Yes. But look around folks. This is the new NFL. In climate controlled stadiums where the weather is not a factor....50+ yard kicks and 35+ points are not abnormal. It is routine and it ain't just Dallas this is happening to. Philly needed a win yesterday and gave up a 48 spot. So while getting healthy and improving on situational defense (3rd down) is a MUST.....the days of winning 24 - 17 are gone and they are not coming back.

Bradford is young. He is a big strong armed QB. I believe this year was the last big money year of his contract. I know he has not WON anything. But no one makes QBs that have not won anything available. So you have to get a guy who you think has the tools and just needs the right environment. With all the picks the Rams are going to have, I believe they will take one of they young guys and start over at the position. We are never BAD enough to draft one of these guys. And to move up to get one would be costly (see the Commanders). I am not a big college football guru. And I have not watched a ton of Ram tape. But I have always felt his size, arm strength, accuracy and toughness were exceptional. For you guys that know him better, am I way off base? Would love to know your thoughts.

He was starting to have a good year when he got injured. That said, the salary makes it impossible.

Naw he's going to be a bust and St Louis is talking about going in a different direction.

so he will be cut? Have you seen a LOT of him. I have seen him and he looks to be physically gifted. We have not DRAFTED a franchise QB sine 1989. And with Jerry being up there in age, not sure he is going to do that now.

To be honest this team has a lot of weapons and a better oline than most teams. We could get Bradford or any starting caliber qb and make them look good. Bradford or Kellen Moore seem good to me. Then bring in another qb from the 2nd round. But most importantly we need a strong minded and smart qb.

I think I understand what you were trying to say. Change of environment? We need a young guy that is physically gifted. I was just thinking about how do we do this without going the NFL draft route. Because our draft needs to be spent fixing the trenches.

Bradford would not be able to beat Romo out of the starting position.

Lol.

One of Romo's biggest criticisms this year is that he's played too conservative and didn't take enough shots down the field.

That's been Bradford his entire career. No thanks.

Thats fair. That is all I was asking.....is for someone that has seen a LOT of him to chime in. All I know is he is big, young, has a gun...and has at times played well

I've seen a bit of him. When he looks good, he looks very good. When he got injured this year, he was at 91 passer rating and a 14-4 TD-Int.

Look, Jeff Fisher is a Buddy Ryan guy who hates quarterbacks. That's why he'll never win big. They'll be 8-8 at best this year. Just like Jeff Fisher always finishes. But again, yeah, I can see him dumping Bradford and going with some dumpy fifth-round pick. Some fan bases are always willing to make dumb decisions on young qbs rather than be patient. Look at what's going on in Washington right now.

I'd certainly take him over all the people who want to trade for Kirk Cousins, whose 7 touchdowns and 9 interceptions have convinced some people around here that he's the future Sonny Jurgensen.

I live about 20 mins from Commanders Park...so I know the firestorm that is going on in DC. All I know is that I have finally given up on the core of this team. Actually, I have long given up on the core of this team..I just always said the QB was untouchable. Have always felt like Romo was good enough to win with if he had help. And I still think he is a good QB. But my thoughts are changing because he is starting to look physically compromised. So it is time to get somone ready to take over in 2 years
