It is no secret I am a Romo supporter. But for what we like to do on offense, Romo no longer has the arm for it. I believe his offseason back surgery was more serious than this team is letting on. INTs happen....but at least the pick while trying to get the ball to Miles was the right play. More concerning to me was how many times he under threw Dez....he completes those and we win this game. Does the defense need to be better? Yes. But look around folks. This is the new NFL. In climate controlled stadiums where the weather is not a factor....50+ yard kicks and 35+ points are not abnormal. It is routine and it ain't just Dallas this is happening to. Philly needed a win yesterday and gave up a 48 spot. So while getting healthy and improving on situational defense (3rd down) is a MUST.....the days of winning 24 - 17 are gone and they are not coming back.
Bradford is young. He is a big strong armed QB. I believe this year was the last big money year of his contract. I know he has not WON anything. But no one makes QBs that have not won anything available. So you have to get a guy who you think has the tools and just needs the right environment. With all the picks the Rams are going to have, I believe they will take one of they young guys and start over at the position. We are never BAD enough to draft one of these guys. And to move up to get one would be costly (see the Commanders). I am not a big college football guru. And I have not watched a ton of Ram tape. But I have always felt his size, arm strength, accuracy and toughness were exceptional. For you guys that know him better, am I way off base? Would love to know your thoughts.
