If Shaun Lee is any indication of our scouting department's evaluation of talent, then maybe we are on the right track. They targeted him, and nailed the pick, and got a great player. I think we are doing a lot better job of evaluating talent and accumulating talent on this team.

I want the first pick to be a stud tackle or guard, but if we don't get that ..... let's all TRY to be patient and see how the draft pans out. It is possible that we could not take an OL in the first 3 rounds, and if we ended up getting the guard from Arkansas in the 4th round, it would still probably be a substantial upgrade to our OL.

(Note: I personally wouldn't wait that long to take an OL, and risk not getting one to help us this year, but it is possible that we might get a better OL pick than normal with a late round pick due to depth at the position this year.

I have faith in the players they draft, seems to have gotten better the past 3 years.

Tough crowd this evening. Verdict, yes, I hope the same thing that we'll pick some solid talent in the draft and people like Sean Lee and Carter are a good indication of that.

Let's hope all of our stars can stay healthy this year as well!

Oh man, the boredom has set WAY in. :laugh2:
3 more days guys.

Under any spelling, my favorite Cowboy. However, he isn't worth much if he can't stay on the field. I do have more faith in the non-cigar smoking defensive staff in terms of playing him intelligently.

We've absolutely nailed our 1st and 2nd round picks the last few years. It's the 3rd round and later that's killing us.

Honestly, Lee, Carter and Murray weren't the diamonds in the rough theyre made out to be. All three were arguably top 10 picks minus injury concerns, and add Murrays Heisman running to that. If anything, credit Jerry, hes the one most apt to take a gamble like that and disregard injury concerns.
