If Shedeur Sanders is there in the 6th, draft him.

I’d take him in the 4th. We need a QB in the next 1-3 years. If it’s not Milton, then why not try on Shedeur? Otherwise, we’ll need to rely on a tank season and hope to draft the next Jayden Daniels.

He isn't worth the media circus as a backup QB. He comes here and there is an immediate QB controversy started by the media and fans.

More importantly the kid just isn't that good. He was an ok college QB hyped by Deion but there are other QB's I'd rather have that don't come with the headache.
He was better than ok in college. He went down as the most accurate QB in FBS history. He can throw the ball far better than Milton that is for sure.

Could be, but clearly their are guys that have worse arm talent that were taken before him, this is MUCH DEEPER than arm talent. He ruffled a lot of feathers, and if so, maybe he got what he deserved???
right but if you are going to have a pennington arm you cannot have other red flags. We'll see. I'd throw a day 3 pick at him. If for no other reason than to have deion call out jerry

This guy can play, I've watched every game. He needs to work on some things, but that's why I suggested sitting a couple of years. If he doesn't work out, you won't lose much since he's drafted so low. How many 6th rounders typically make it anyways? I only said 6th because people around here would die if we moved up in the 4th to take him which I would totally do.
We can barely get into the 4th with this year's picks. But the reason you don't move up to the 4th to take him is because he'll be there in the 5th. The reason you might not want to draft him in the 5th, it's because he'll be there in the 6th. By that time, it doesn't matter.

I wouldn't mind if they used a 6th on him. If he doesn't mind sitting for a few years, what do the Cowboys have to lose? He might turn out to be a legit successor.

If the Cowboys trade back into the 4th to take Sanders, Jerry will be hunted down and strung up by his Jockey strap.

I know all the talk is his personality turning teams off. I think his arm strength is the issue.
I don't think it's that.....,......he simple has don't anything special. He won a few games at Jackson State and Colorado. If his last name wasn't Sanders, we are not even talking about him. IMO he blame Deion for trying ram the kid down the league throat with PR stunts, social media hype and threats. There's a nugget out there he was spents the last week or so trying to convince the Browns owner ( yes going over head and GM head ) to draft Hunter 2nd overall and come back into the first and draft Shedure.
Add to this the kid represents everything wrong with the direction College Football NIL money is impacting the chracter of the players..........sense of entitlment.

If Shedeur Sanders falls and is there in the 6th round when we pick, we need to draft him.
I haven't made a post in over 3 years, I usually only add to threads so bare with me and hear me out. 6 quick points.

1st. Most 6th rounders are low risk draft picks that the Cowboys can easily move on from if it doesn't work out, including financially.

2nd. Have Shedeur/Milton/Grier battle it out in training camp...whomever wins is the backup, and move the 2nd option to the practice squad and the 3rd option cut.

3rd. Shedeur is a 1st to 2nd round talent, I've watched all of his games for the last 2 years. He's accurate, has a strong arm, not the strongest, but much stronger than Rush, and very accurate. He's smart, just takes a lot of sacks, and at times, he tried to force it to Travis Hunter because Hunter was always barking at him to throw him the ball

4th. He can sit and learn behind Dak for a couple of years, if not sooner.

5th. This sends a clear message to Dak, put up or you're out as soon as we can get you out. Having Shedeur behind Dak will either LIGHT A FIRE, or he is gone.

6th. If Dak happens to pan out, you can simply trade or cut Shedeur. But if Dak doesn't work out, maybe Shedeur takes you places, or move on from him. Either way, we move on from Dak if he doesn't improve, have a pretty good QB moving forward, or cut our losses and draft the next stud.

Conclusion: Milton is a 6th round draft pick, so no loss if you have to move on from either one, and that includes Grier. Seriously, I don't need another 6th round DT stinking up the joint, Shedeur is definitely worth a 6th round pick no matter what we think of his dad.
Exactly. I'd even take him with that 5th. Like are we really going to get a standout WR or RB with that pick? Shadeur was projected much higher, but due to the theatrics, he's fallen hugely. Shadeur as a 1st or 2nd rounder causing issues is one thing, but as a 5th rounder, he's easy to cut if he's causing discord. We need competition in that QB room. Get him in there and let Shadeur and Milton fight for the backup position and possibly as an eventual starter at qb.

Doesn't Sanders want to start? He's not starting in Dallas for the next 2-3 years unless Dak gets hurt. He's probably not going to start anywhere in this league as it is obvious teams have taken him off their board.

He might go undrafted. Worse would be if a team like Cincinnati or Buffalo picks him up.
He can want what he want. As a 5th rounder, if he doesn't go along with the plan, they can cut him. I think that's why he's fallen so low. They are sending a message that he's not coming in the league calling shots.

I think taking Sheduer at any point today would be an incredible draft value. This is a kid who has been humbled by the draft process. Worst case scenario's pre-draft had him falling to Pittsburgh at 21.... in the first round. He has the talent. Dallas is one of the few places that can absorb his distraction without missing a beat bc Dallas IS a distraction 24/7/365. He can come in here and just work. Dak isn't playing 17 games. No way with his lack of mobility that he's not going to get injured. Worst case, if Sheduer can get into some games and look good, he becomes a very valuable trade piece.

If he's there when we pick next we need to pick him.
He has fallen this far not because of talent but because no one wants to deal with the circus.

We have the man that can deal with the circus on our team the original carnival Barker Jerry Jones.
This has Jerry Jones written all over it the marketing the hype with a late round draft pick it's a win-win get it done Jerry
I think we have more immediate needs for the next 2 picks, but that doesn't invalidate your point.

7. This team absolutely does not need the circus atmosphere and entitlement that is sure to follow this guy. No thank you.

Sheduer may have thought he was hot stuff prior to the draft , but this, by any measure, has been a humbling experience and probably the first one in his life. To say that it's not going to impact him in a positive way or that he's going to come into some team with same level of arrogance and bravado is a sentiment I disagree with. This draft nightmare is exactly the check he needed. Now, if he truly has the top 10 talent touted by everyone pre-draft, he's a steal. Sure his last name is always going to be a distraction but Dallas handled his Dad and they can handle him.

Nobody wants the drama that Deion will bring. Browns taking Gabriel over Sanders is sentiment across the league imo
