AGAIN....other than the penalties (which were horrible-except the holding which i thought was ticky tak), he played well.

I just watched thru most of the 3rd quarter and he never missed a block or was a problem other than the penalties. I don't know where the notion is coming from that he played bad?

He cleans up the mental penalties, he is good.

Peters is not a right side player. Eagles tried him at RG while he was still there and it didn't go well.

Four penalties.

We have to eliminate that from our team.

And Peters played a season or so at RT. So he's capable.

I see this as a more balanced line, that's a little weak in the middle/left side. But I'd be willing to try it out, depending on how things shape up.

I realize he's projected to be a left side player. I'm just pondering the possibility, because I think it exists. They have to have at least discussed the option there.

None of the OL played well outside of Tyler Smith, including Martin, who had what would be a mediocre game for him. Farniok, Biadasz and Steele were among the lowest rated at their positions on PFF.

Steele's actual play wasn't horrible, it is the penalties that made his day so bad.

Nate didn't call Farniok's play out as good in this game, he commented about him in the last preseason game, basically saying he was the only backup we have that is any good.

I'm just curious. If the line continues to fall apart, and Steele's penalties continue, maybe, for continuity, we just leave Farniok at LG and let Peters play RT.

This could even extend Peters career, and he would also be a potential swing tackle in the case that Tyler got hurt and he didn't..
I want Peters into the starting line up somewhere.
I think that would improve the over all play of the Oline.
