I wonder if the "T.O. media watch" would still be in this high gear. You know, if Owens burbs at lunch or scratches his ***, the vermin crawl out of their holes looking for the story. But I don't recall Owens ever committing a crime. So I wonder if the criminality of the Bengal players would would be enough to swallow up the T.O. watch. I doubt it.
Or maybe it's just a Cowboy thing. I remember like it was yesterday the constant front page play about every Cowboy slip-up in the 90's. I don't recall eight different players, several offences for some, on the Cowboys teams back then. I know they got alot of play over Irvin back then. They went bonkers ofter Tuinei's death, and the lineman who got caught with the pot AFTER he was gone from Dallas, but not much else. But yet it was in your face 24/7.
What I DON'T recall was any press at all about the owner/mafioso/gangster DeBartolo getting convicted and losing his team for criminal activity. Or any press at all about Dennis Green being accused several times for sexual harrassment. Not much play over Farve's alchohol & drug problems either.
I guess T.O. falling asleep at a meeting is bigger news.
